Chance are not since the release Pokemon just came out so I don't know if there have time to add them, I guess we will wait and see

The characters haven't been announced yet, so we don't know - you're just going to have to wait, but as for the Pokemon - I doubt it...

Only a couple of Pokemon are in Brawl so far but the chances that Diamond and Pearl Pokemon are going to be in here are very small.

I know where the other people are getting their logic from, but think. Diamond and Pearl were deep in development when SSBB was announced. They were released in JP fall 2006, when Brawl was in very early stages of development. In other words, 90% chance they'll be included, seeing as Nintendo has had WAY more than enough time to add them. If they're not there, Nintendo is just lazy.

Well Pokemon diamond has been out for a month or 2. And brawl will be out in almost 3 months... I think it's enough time. Chances are that we'll see a few.
Speaking of Pokemon in brawl... It's been confirmed on the official site that you can use a Fire red/Leaf green trainer.

Check the credits after you beat Classic on Very easy. This shoudn't be hard.All the Pokemon you see in the game will be there.Also, shoot them with the laser for some coins.

There are some Pokemon from POkemon Diamond. For example when you use a poke ball you have a chance at getting a Piplup.
