Phrases??

I saw on a website that you can assign a typed phrase to a taunt. Is this true? If so, how can you do this?

Yes,you can do that,but only with friends online.

You go into the friend code list and click your name,there should be 4 areas where you can type a message

You can only use these taunts when playing with friends. Go into your friend roster and click on yourself. A screen should pop up showing a picture of your selected "avatar", your name and a message. You should also see in the middle four areas to write in. Each one is for a direction on the d-pad. All you have to do is write a phrase for each of the four possible directions/taunts. During a game with friends, pressing a direction on the d-pad (unless you are using the wii-mote sideways) will make your character perform a taunt and the respective phrase will show up in a bubble.

You can make phrases only for battling friends online. You can do that where you change your avatar type thing online part. I hoped this helped.

Oh by the way to use them you press the taunt button with the directional buttons are.
