I have noticed in this game that sometmes when you ko an opponent they come back with their Final Smash ready when there isn't a single smash ball on the stage, and I am just wonderin how this is happpenin. Is there a button they are pressing right when they die, or is it the person who is in last place as a chance for them to catch up to the other players.
P.S. I have seen this Offline and Online.

Nintendo talked about this, it's when a character is really far behind he will just get the final smash without the smash ball.
This is on the home page of the game itself. It is when the person gets KO'd more than anyone else so much, that they are pitied, and the game gives them what Masahiro Sakurai (leader of Smash Bros. Series) calls a Pity Final Smash. They automatically respawn with a Final Smash ready to be used. I'm not sure if you can knock a Smash ball out of them, though...
When a character is losing by a lot the come back with their
Final Smash.
Well when you are in a huge defecit sometimes you automatically recieve the SB from the get go
