In world 9. Level 9-7 gate is closed. We have all star coins in world 7. How to open gate?

In world 9. Level 9-7 gate is closed. We have all star coins in world 7. How to open gate?

Have collected all star coins and now in world 9. Have completed world 9.1 - 9.6 but 9.7 gate will not open. Asking me to collect all the star coins in world 7. Done that. Why will the gate not open?

Maybe you forgot the secret passage to the secret level in world 7 ( the one with the flying giant red turtles ) or maybe you should just quick save and go on it again.
