I think you have to get as many star coins because all the hint movies need star coins. I wish I could see if I'm right ,but my TV went out.I hoped this helped

We have all the star coins from worlds 1 all the way through to 9 and those 2 hint movies are still lockedGuest answered:
You have to get every star coin and use every cannon! The cannons are what we forgot. Basically, if there is a flashing red icon on the map screen, the level has not been completed - even for the warp cannons.
