Barroth hunting
The Barroth is hard for me to fight... I know for higher hunters in the game that might seem pathetic, any ideas to kill it easily?

Using a water weapon may help as it is weak to water when covered in mud, I found it helped me take out its legs to get extra hits while its on it's back.
Other than that just try avoiding attacks

know a specific water weapon i should use? (i generrally use a sword and shield cuz thats what im best at.) ill use any weapon though.

As stated above, the water weapons are great. I also had a hard time with the Barroth, and several times I was on the brink of insanity. That was until I found the Spiral Lance. The ability to have a shield is paramount, IMO, and with the Spiral Lance's Water 110 damage, I am able to take down the Barroth in about 20-30 minutes. The shield can block all of Barroth's attacks, with minimal damage sustained. So, if you see him beginning one of his charges, don't be afraid to put up the shield and take the full force of the blow. I can't wait to fight him again when I can upgrade to the Spiral Lance .

I used the Upgraded Ludroth Nail (Royal Claw I think), worked much better for me than using a lance as you have to re-learn fighting styles

You should wait for the r. luddy quest, get everything, and upgrade the ludroth nail to the royal claw . Or you could group it online till you get used to it....
