100 meter dash problem

In mission mode with Mario, Shadow, or Sonic, I can't get any of them to go fast enough no matter how fast I shake the remote and nunchuck. Is there anything else to do? It doesn't seem to go any faster no matter how fast I move the remote and nunchuck!

No offence and all but you just have 2 move the remotes faster than usual cause it's just you,unless you hit you're wiimote on somethin
