floor 28

On floor 28 of mine I keep getting geyers, are there any pitfall... OR STAIRS on that floor?

There is stairs, but no pitfalls. Just brake rocks until you find the stairs.

Erm, on the deeper levels the stairs are obscured by rocks, so you must break them with your hammer randomly - it helps to guess where the stairs might look good (as in, in relation to the stairs you came down, where do you think the stairs would be?).

I don't know about pitfalls or geysers, but you could just keep walking around until you see one or make one yourself (there will be a loud cracking-ish sound and turn around and wallah, you forced one to appear by putting your weight on it).
