What do you have to do in the owlery for cho? And how on earth do you get back out, when I go back down the stairs I can't seem to get to the bottom!!!

You just have to keep following the owl and the package. You need to go along the ledges and repair them as you go and eventually you need to go upsatirs and repair the poles and climb them. When you finish repairing everything you will get the package and then you get out I guess. There is also a way out of the owlery by going outside the top window and down the sides you will eventually get down.
