Stuck in Chapter 3, trying to get a coin

I have the same issue on a new ipad and havent found a solution.

How do I use the apples to collect the coin in the cash box?

If you have collected all 3 required apples, simply drag the resulting single apple to the location it shows in the
Description/pictorial on the right side, but put the ARROW/cursor on the box in the left side of the room, not the apple itself.In other words, aim the cursor at the destination, do not try to put the apple in the location. This assumes you have completed previous required tasks.
