Go up the stairs and look at the wall with the symbols on it. Match the pairs of numbers, (eg number five with 5 fingers) they will vanish when matched. What is left is the code number you need.

You have to clear all the matches of numbers (and symbols) until the three answer symbols light up and the close box changes to a green checkmark. Otherwise the last pipe elbow will not appear elsewhere and you cannot move on.
