Burn anything in a furnace that's wood.
So if you don't have enough fuel to put in a new furnace to burn what you need well no worries because you can put any wooden item such as a wooden pickaxe a wooden sword or anything that's wooden in the fuel icon. I figured this out when I was low on coal you can also put in saplings as a fuel well pretty much anything that's wooden or a sapling or any wooden item you create is going to be used as a fuel because it's made out of wood. How to get Gold and Blacksmith Items all at once for Free
First you must Fast Travel to the city of Whiterun or just walk.Then once you enter the city gates you will see two alley ways take the one on the right. Then you will see a small area with a brown barrel in there enter the area. Then you need to jump on the barrel the try to jump over the stone wall this will work even if you fail the first time that's ok just keep trying.
Then as soon as you make it over to the wall go take a left and head towards Dragonsreach. When you get closer look to your left and you will see the sky forge a stone statue that is the shape of a Bird when you see it go behind it and jump on some rocks jump on them and there is a glitch that you can fall through the ground.as soon as you see a chest floating in the air head toward it once you get very close to it open it take what you need out of that gold or whatever items then wait under the grindstone until you're Eorlund Gray-Mane appears that once you're very close to a month to the grindstone talk to him and ask what he has for sale and look where the gold is and it will show that he has zero gold because you took it out of the chest and any other items you took off the chest will not be in his Inventory then wait 48 hours under the grindstone then talk to him again and ask what he has for sale then look and see how much gold he has when he at least has 1000 gold head back over to the floating chest and take what you like then wait 48 hours and just and repeat the steps I told you and that's how you gold and blacksmith items for free.
