Introduction

Medal of Honour : Rising Sun is a First Person Shooter based on the conflict between America and Japan during the second world war. You can play the campaign which includes missions like "Pearl Harbour" and "Fall of the Phillipines" on either single player or a co-operative multi-player mode and you can also play a more competitive multiplayer mode in which you are pitted against your friends, out-numbered and out-gunned by AI teams and also team games where you and your friends can battle it out for the most kills on your opponents.

Graphics

The graphics in Medal of Honour : Rising Sun are absolutely superb. The graphics you see throughout the game not only simulate real places and people but also has little added effects for more enjoyment such as shooting off people's hats, helmets and guns. This allows you to show off to your friends by disarming your enemies by shooting away their guns and hitting them too.

Sound

The sound in Medl of Honour : Rising Sun is isn't too bad in comparison to the other Medal of Honour games, but could still use a bit of work. If you listen too carefully, though, the sound can spoil the game if you are about to walk around an apparently deserted corner and hear your enemies shouting orders. A good point is that every gun has it's own unique sound and your team sometimes issue orders too.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Medal of Honour : Rising Sun varies from mission to mission from recon missions like sniping or infiltrating bases to typically shooting people up. In campaign mode, you give yourself more of a challenge by putting up the difficulty and/or searching for all the bonus objectives and movie clips which are hidden across each level.

Lastability

The lastability of Medal of Honour : Rising Sun is a topic that has to be thought about as many people will say that as it has limited multiplayer levels, once you complete the single player missions, that's the game done. On the other hand, if there is a multiplayer mode, you can't really run out of things to do with it. For that reason I have given it 9/10.

Overall

Medal of Honour : Rising Sun is a game well worth buying as it gives those new to X-Box a good idea of the consoles controllers, intermediate to expert players can put their gaming skills to the test on the later missions and those who are able to call themselves FPS Masters can pit their wit and nerves against up to 7 AI enemies at level 5 skill ( the most difficult enemy skill level in the game ). This is a great game all round for beginners to expert players.

Final Score: 90%
