Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a game of happiness and a torture all in one. This game has made me very happy before. I've had great moments that have made me proud and those oh my god moments that makes everybody flip out. That's what makes this game enjoyable. Then, there are those moments you're ready to snap your disc in two.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's graphics were toned down from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare title to enhance the frame rate and create smoother gameplay. Overall, I think they did a great job. The lighting in this map is great, and when walking through dark areas with windows with beaming lights, seeing those dust particles makes you feel like you are there doing this.
This game has outstanding sound. When I play, I use a Turtle Beach P21 headset (highly recommend it for ANY first-person shooter) and the sound is just unbelievable. You can hear enemies running around you, and pinpoint where they are with your ears. You can hear enemies moving around in the bushes with leaves being crushed and bushes being pushed around. The only issue I have with it, is in multiplayer whenever you're using the SitRep Pro perk and it enhances enemy footsteps, but it doesn't counter-act the Ninja Pro perk which silences your footsteps.
The gameplay for this game is "iffy". It depends on your own point of view. If you're somebody who's trying to rack up the K/D and W/L ratio, this game can be rather frustrating. If you're somebody such as I who plays for the fun of it, you can get some great moments out of it, but no matter what your game style is, this game can get frustrating at parts, for example whenever people spawn next to you after you just killed them. That's why I'm giving the gameplay a 7/10.
The lastability of this game is tremendous. With all the guns and challenges, you can be stuck playing this game day and night seeming like you're getting nowhere. If you prestige once in multiplayer mode, it enhances the game even further unlocking you prestige challenges that you're bound never to finish unless you boost or hack, which I'm not a big fan of either. There are over a million different classes to unlock, and 24 pages of titles and 8 pages of emblems to unlock, this game will keep you playing for a good year or two.
Overall, this game is very enjoyable. Apart from the frustration of enemies in multiplayer, or even the AI on Veteran difficulty, this is a must-have game. Gather up a group of friends from school or in town, even ones online, get into a party, hop into the game and have fun.
