Where do you find the dwarfs partner because want to get my sword upgraded?

You have to have the gloves that allow you to pick the dark stones. In the Dark world where the library is there is some rocks. If you have the gloves then you can get to this frog guy. Warp back to the Light world and go to the swordsmith house and you can get the sword upgraded. If you don't have the gloves I can't remember where they are. Hope it helps!
