Hey, QD here. This is one of my last FAQs for 510. But don't worry, you'll see
more FAQs from me; they'll just be for other, more challenging or
misunderstood games or something. Also, at the end, I've added some Top 5
lists dealing with my favorite elements of the game. Check it out!

Event:The Son Always Shines -> *Downtown Expressway Forward *1 Lap
Car:Golf
Difficulty:3 out of 10
Bio:This clown's street name is T-Ho. He's dumped a whole lot of daddy's money
into his car. Loves throwin' cash around. Work 'im when you're low on bills.
How to Beat:Hopefully, your Golf is upgraded enough. You did choose a Golf,
right? After all, it is the best (but worst-looking) starter. Well, whatever
the case, if you keep your speed high and your eyes open, you should be fine.

Boss:Vince Kilic "Taz"
Event:Invincible -> *Main & Terminal Forward *3 Laps
Car:Mazda3
Difficulty:2 out of 10
Bio:This crazy fool is a major heat score. Was given the name "Taz" by the
Black List. His real name's Vince Kilic. Guy comes from a family of cops, so
he doesn't care if his government is thrown out like that. Stay clear of 'im.
How to Beat:Make sure your car is upgraded enough. Cut the corners and don't
crash if you want to win.

Boss:Victor Vasquez "Vic"
Event:Victory Lane -> *Hillside Forward *1 Lap
Car:Cobalt SS
Difficulty:2 out of 10
Bio:This dude spends more time in the bar than he does on the streets, and it
shows. He's been stuck in the same slot in the Black List for a while, but
people have a tough time bumping him out of it. He's slack and dangerous.
How to Beat:Pretty much the same race as Taz. Shortcuts help a lot.

Boss:Isabel Diaz "Izzy"
Event:Skillz -> *Great Northern Way Forward *2 Laps
Car:RX-8
Difficulty:4 out of 10
Bio:Izzy is definitely a chick you don't want to mess with. She knows a lot
about cars, on and off the road. She's the one person who hates Razor more than
you. She expects to be treated like an equal--I suggest you do.
How to Beat:Even with a pimped out Golf, this race will be close. Don't
crash and take all the shortcuts. Keep your endurance up and you'll keep
Izzy dizzy.

Boss:Lou Park "Big Lou"
Event:Hurts To Lose -> *South Central *3 Laps
Car:Eclipse
Difficulty:6 out of 10
Bio:This slab of Korean muscle considers himself a real ladies' man. He'll
take the shirt off his back to help ya out, but if you mess with 'im, be
prepared for pain.
How to Beat:That Eclipse has MAD HANDLING. The acceleration's a bit slow,
though, so you'll lead at first. Shortcut like crazy, DON'T CRASH, and use that
nitrous to belittle Big Lou.

Boss:Karl Smit "Baron"
Event:Seeing Red -> *5th Precinct Forward *1 Lap
Car:Mustang GT
Difficulty:6 out of 10
Bio:This flake calls himself the Baron. He's always preaching about rules and
honor. As far as I'm concerned, do whatever it takes to win. Let 'im worry
about rules after he loses.
How to Beat:An Eclipse or RX-8 is best. He crashes once or twice, but since
his accel's so good, don't crash more than once. Please. Use the gigantic
shortcut and your nitrous to kill Karl.

Boss:Pierre Dupont "Earl"
Event:Dethroned -> *5th Precinct Forward *1 Lap
Car:Lancer
Difficulty:6 out of 10
Bio:Meet the Black List's momma's boy. Guy thinks he's royalty or somethin'
stupid like that. Don't be fooled by this pencil neck, he'll roll you over in
a heartbeat.
How to Beat:use the same strategy as Baron's, but he doesn't crash, so don't
crash yourself, either.

Boss:Jade Barrett "Jewels"
Event:Green Light -> *Riverview Forward *1 Lap
Car:TT
Difficulty:7.5 out of 10
Bio:This sweet thing goes by the name of Jewels. She's all about big block and
muscle. She's got a lot of mileage under her wheels so don't be tempted to do
anything stupid.
How to Beat:Use anything from Ranks 9-11. You might not be able to keep up at
first, but you will soon enough. Remember: women in this game can't drive (No
offense, ladies) so she'll crash once or twice. When she does, use that
nitrous and soon, she'll have the taste of that (and defeat) in her mouth.

Boss:Kira Nazakato "Kamikaze"
Event:Rising Sun -> *West Village Forward *3 Laps
Car:Corvette
Difficulty:7 out of 10
Bio:Kamikaze is damaged goods, man. This girl doesn't care about skills, she's
all about speed. Don't let her sweet looks fool ya. She'll trash anything
she sees, including you.
How to Beat:Use something fast, preferably a TT. Remember when I said women
(in the game) can't drive? Well, she REALLY can't drive. She crashes 3 or 4
times. You know what to do when she does, right?

Boss:Hector Domingo "Ming"
Event:No Mercy -> *Exchange District *3 Laps
Car:Carrera 4S
Difficulty:8 out of 10
Bio:This here is Ming. Picked his name from some history book. Don't ask me
what it means 'cause I don't care. What I do know is he's fast. He shreds
radar traps.
How to Beat:Dang, he's fast. I love the 4S. I've seen it a few times on the
highway, too. Okay, to beat Ming, use a car with good accel and handling (aka:
the TT/Lancer/WRX STI--maxed out, of course). Nitro A LOT, don't crash, and
Speedbreak if necessary (It's absolutely necessary).

Boss:Wes Allen "Webster"
Event:One For the Books -> *West Village Forward *2 Laps
Car:Gallardo
Difficulty:7.5 out of 10
Bio:Webster's always talking about rides, performance, racers, blah, blah,
blah. Won't shut up. He's a walkin' book. He has some crazy idea that he's
gonna make it big. Yeah--dream on, brother.
How to Beat:Imagine Kamikaze's race with no crashing, more speed, and a better
ride. That's this race. Take care of this guy Ming style, if you know what I
mean. You know what I mean, right? I mean all out speed with a side order of
nitro and SB (Using the 4S, idiot). Bon appetit, monsieur Webster.

Boss:Joe Vega "JV"
Event:Wheels of Steel -> *South Central Forward *3 Laps
Car:Ford GT
Difficulty:7.5 out of 10
Bio:I don't know how JV does it, man. His nights are spent in the club and
days on the street. I don't know when this dude crashes. He's got a lot of
friends so be cool with 'im.
How to Beat:It's Gallardo time. You know South Central already, so just focus
on your speed (and NOT his sweet ride). Use your mad handling and nitro. But,
if your in love with your 4S, SB on those hard turns.

Boss:Ronald McCrea "Ronnie"
Event:Triumvirate -> *Riverview Reverse *1 Lap
Car:M3 GTR 1
Difficulty:8.5 out of 10
Bio:You know Ronnie. Guy grew up with a silver spoon but thinks he's ghetto.
He definitely ain't from around the way. Don't be fooled though, this guy
knows how to drive.
How to Beat:Super sweet accel plus Riverview equals one tough competitor.
Since he crashes once, go Gallardo on 'im and use nitro a lot (common sense
tells you to nitro in every race, so I'll stop sayin' it). The car's not cheap,
but is reliable on City Power (kudos to Andrew Duffy for that info).

Boss:Toru Sato
Event:Key to the City -> *Downtown Expressway Forward *1 Lap
Car:Carrera GT
Difficulty:8.5 out of 10
Bio:Slick boy Toru. If it weren't for Razor, he'd still be hanging down at the
docks dreamin' of the Black List. This fool thinks he's got a sleeper. Calls
it reverse psychology. You don't wanna know what I call it.
How to Beat:Use the Gallardo, Ford GT, or, if properly equipped, the M3 GTR 1.
It's basically the same race as Sonny's, but he crashes a couple of times,
so nitro is even more of a staple than it usually is. And trust me, it's worth
the 440 grand (don't worry, the M3 GTR 2 is free).

Boss:Clarence Callahan "Razor"
Event:Final Cut -> *City Power Forward *2 Laps
Car:M3 GTR 2
Difficulty:9.5 out of 10
Bio:Scary Razor. Must have taken 'im all night to come up with that name. This
fool got to the top stabbin' everyone he could in the back to get there. He's
nothin' without his crew.
How to Beat:Take slow, deep breaths to calm yourself down. I recommend a GT
for this race, especially a Gallardo or Carrera GT ('cause they're fast).
The key thing to look out for is the first shortcut. He crashes on it once
every six races, so a keen sense of sight could mean an early lead. Until
you get to the hairpin bends, DON'T CRASH! When you get to the bends, either
dominate them and extend your lead, or almost mess up and end up playing
follow-the-leader until after the last bend (USE THE SHORTCUT!!). By then,
your acceleration will have kicked in, giving you a lead at the end of the
lap. On the next lap, repeat the process and you will have beaten Razor (and
have about 80% of the game complete)!!!! After celebrating in whatever way
you like best, it's time to work on those Bonus Part Challenges!
Here are some tips from a good friend:
*)"I use the M3 GTR 1 (it's the only car fast enough to overtake him). The
Speedbreaker helped a lot in the hairpin turns (I use it on all of them on
both laps). How I did it was that I used the Speedbreaker during the turn and
disabled it as soon as the turn was done, so it could recharge sooner.
