Hey, QD here, with my second FAQ. Since I beat Razor, I had plenty of time on
my hands to write these FAQs. Contrary to popular belief, beating Razor does
NOT mean the game is 100% complete (In fact it only means it's about 80%
complete.). Even if you beat every bonus part challenge (For more info on this,
see "Extras"), there will still be about 17 events (the remaining 10% of
the game) left. If you know ANYTHING about the remaining 17 events, please
contact me!!!! Again, I give this game an 8.1 out of 10, mostly because of the
cars, customization options, and that being chased by cops is that exciting!

                               C.Track Info
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

  1)City Power

    Length:3 KM
    Difficulty:8 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Razor
    Description:The turns are a real pain (especially the hairpin bends).
    Despite belief, the trio of shortcuts don't make it any easier.

    How to Master:Always use the gas station and hairpin shortcuts, and when
    on the hairpin turns, you can follow the path that the opponents always
    take. Also, on the first turn, you can stay close to the outside wall and
    then cut close to the inside wall on the second turn.

    Here are some tips from some other 510 freaks:

     *)"try drifting or powersliding through the sharp turns"

       -Shuang Xu <[email protected]>

     *)"For the hairpins, brake to about 70mph, let go of the accelerator and
brake, glide in the turn and accelerate once the turn is complete (or almost
complete)."

       -Markus Adhiwiyogo <[email protected]>

     *)"I use the M3 GTR 1"

       -Andrew Duffy <[email protected]>

     *)"I use the Lambrigini (Lomborghini Gallardo) because it's got great
handling. Also, I practiced doing a Custom Race of 6 laps just to master the
turns, when to use Speedbreaker, etc."

      -Anthony Robinson <[email protected]>

  2)Great Northern Way

    Length: 7 KM
    Difficulty:5 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Izzy
    Description:My second favorite track. The turns may seem annoying at first,
    but the multitude of shortcuts help out a lot.

    How to Master:The shortcuts behind the buildings and inside the tunnel
    help to build an early lead (or a reliable finish), so keep an eye out
    for them. Also, the off-road shortcut (the second-longest shortcut in
    the game) is a HUGE help.
===============================================================================

  3)Downtown Expressway

    Length:6 KM
    Difficulty:2 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Sonny, Toru Sato
    Description:The second easiest track. The 3 or 4 shortcuts make it even
    easier.

    How to Master:AVOID THE TRAFFIC. A few crashes into a civilian car could
    cost you the race, tournament, or give you a one-way ticket to Cop City.
    Your main advantage is the alternate route near the end of the course
    (Don't be fooled by its appearance on the map-it's much shorter than the
    other way).
===============================================================================

  4)Exchange District

    Length:5 KM
    Difficulty:6.5 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Ming
    Description:The turns can kill you if you're not careful, but the 3
    shortcuts make the ride shorter and much safer.

    How to Master:The first shortcut (The one in the garage) will almost
    guarantee you a lead. The second (The one connected to an inside turn) is
    almost optional. The third will keep your lead going. Be sure to use a
    car with good handling (Such as a TT or Gallardo) and AVOID THAT
    TRAFFIC!!!!
===============================================================================

  5)South Central

    Length:4 KM
    Difficulty:3 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Big Lou, JV
    Description:This track only has 3 shortcuts, but that's all it needs.

    How to Master:You'll be racing on this track a lot, so you should easily
    master this track. The first and last shortcuts are a must for any race.
    The second, though, can be ignored if your car is fast enough.
===============================================================================

  6)Main & Terminal

    Length:3 KM
    Difficulty:1.5 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Taz
    Description:The shortest and easiest track in the game. No need for
    shortcuts.

    How to Master:If you cut the corners and avoid the traffic, you should
    be fine.
===============================================================================

  7)West Village

    Length:7 KM
    Difficulty:6.5 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Kamikaze, Webster
    Description:The length may seem intimidating, but it's basically a pretzel-
    shaped version of Exchange District. Use those shortcuts!

    How to Master:The first shortcut may be hard to see (it's near the start,
    in the turn in the park), but if you access it, it can save you some
    trouble. The next one (the shortcut between the buildings) is vital in
    races, but can be avoided in Time Trials. I cannot stress this enough-
    WATCH OUT FOR THE TRAFFIC!!!!!(Don't be afraid to use Speedbreaker for
    the shortcuts, either.)
===============================================================================

  8)Riverview

    Length:8 KM
    Difficulty:6.5 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Jewels, Ronnie
    Description:My third favorite track (Its many shortcuts make it fun to
    race on).

    How to Master:Use all the shortcuts! The "chain" (Veering right into
    shortcut #2, then following it back onto the track and into shortcut #3)
    can cut the distance you travel by 1/3-a lifesaver when facing Jewels and
    Ronnie. Also, don't worry about the roundabout turn after/before the
    tunnel-it won't slow you down much.
===============================================================================

  9)5th Precinct

    Length:10 KM
    Difficulty:6 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Baron, Earl
    Description:The longest track. Plus, the longest shortcut.

    How to Master:The turns aren't too crucial, so shortcuts are the key. The
    first one gives you the early lead, the second helps you maintain the
    lead, and the third-the king-severly widens the lead. The traffic is heavy
    here, so be careful.
===============================================================================

  10)Hillside

    Length:9 KM
    Difficulty:5 out of 10
    Boss Race(s):Vic
    Description:The second longest track (Also my favorite). The numerous
    shortcuts make it seem like 6 KM, not 9.

    How to Master:The first and second shortcuts both cut "inside" the turns,
    so they should not be skipped. Also, the last shortcut (the one that
    intersects the track in the middle and separates again) can win it for
    you, but there are some civilian cars scattered in between, so stay
    alert.

If the speedometer is in mph, then why are the track lengths in kilometers and
the pursuit meter in meters?

Eariler, I mentioned Bonus Part Challenges. Here, I'll elaborate on them and
their relevance with Double Down.

In each level, there are two Bonus Part Challenges you can unlock. One is
unlocked by placing first in all of the events of the level (If you beat this
challenge, you unlock the Super Composite Spoiler for a car), and the other
is unlocked by getting max respect in each event (Beating this challenge
unlocks the Super Composite Hood for a car). You can get max respect in an
event by attempting a Double Down Challenge. You can spawn a Double Down
challenge by placing first in the event with a Heat Level of 10. In Double
Down, you have a set time (60, 90, 120, 150, 180, or 240 seconds) to get
250 meters in front of a selected cop car. You lose the challenge (and the
cash and respect you would've gotten if you denied the challenge) if you run
out of time, let the cop car get 150 meters in front of you, or get busted.

Events you can Double Down:

  *)Curcuit Races *)Knockout Races *)Heat Challenges

Events you can't Double Down:

  *)Tournaments      *)Time Trials      *)Boss Races

The amount of respect you receive varies (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, or 40).

NOTE:In the higher levels (Ronnie, etc.), there will be only 1 or 2
events you can Double Down.

NOTE:Because of the WRX STI, Super Composite parts from Rank 9 to Rank 3 will
be for the boss car of the preceeding rank. Rank 2 Bonus Part Challenges
award the correct car due to the fact that the Rank 3 car (BMW GTR 1) is of
the Generic class, and therefore, does not recieve hood or spoiler upgrades.

NOTE: I apologize for having so many notes, it's just that anything dealing
with video game cops is kind of confusing.
