find Any information on Rubies, because they are the rarest items in this game.

A Ruby is an incredible rare item needed to make the rarest of weapons and
armor. They are the rarest items in Monster Hunter Freedom. They're are 7
Rubies and require you to be at from Hr4 to Hr5.

The Ruby is the rarest item in Monster Hunter Freedom (period). If you had the
pleasure of playing Monster Hunter on the Playstation 2 you've probably heared
of a little item called a plate. Also any Hunter new that the favorite phrase
of any newb was "I Need Plates!" Now there's a new sheriff of newb pain in town
, and his name is the Ruby. Soon there will be spam posts of Newbs complaining
about "I can't get Rubies...(cry)". That is why I decided to make this Faq.

Rubies are obtained from the tails of Raths, and from carving a Lao. They can
only be found in G-Ranked quests from the blue lady.

Description: A rare, precious gem from inside a wyvern. Almost too nice to use.
Percent of Carving: 2%
Percent of Getting in Reward: 4%
The Rathian Ruby in Monster Hunter Freedom is the equivalent of a Rathian Plate
in Monster Hunter(PS2). Its Difficult to aquire but not the hardest to aquire.
It's found only in regular(green) Rathians tails. This Ruby was the easiest for
me to aquire due to the ease of cutting Rathian tails.

The Pink Rathian Ruby is one of the new items added to the Monster Hunter item
list. It is a new type of item found in a new type of wyvern. It's found in a
a Pink Rathian and is the easiest of the alternate Rathian variations to aquire.

The Gold Rathian Ruby is the rarist Rathian Ruby, by far. The Gold Rathian's
tail is thicker than the pink rathian, and takes more attacks to cut off. The
Gold Ian Ruby is the most useful in the creation of rare wepons.

Sending it to be processed is excruciating.

In Monster Hunter(PS2) the Rathalos was the bane of all anguish. The Rathalos
plate was almost impossible to get let alone 25 of them. Now the new bane of
items is the Rathalos Ruby. With a very low sucsess rate of collecting one this
item will bring back memories of the pl8 runs.

The interior is a battle between blue & red.

The Ruby of an Azure, or blueish, Rathalos. Not any easier to get one from
this tail than a regular Rathalos. The tail is harder to penetrate and cut, and
will have to struggling with it. Good Luck with this one, you'll need it.

As rare as a Rathalos Ruby but with 1-7 more attempts per monster. The Lao Ruby
is probably the easiest to get. With more than I carve attempt this one won't
be as hard. The Azure Lao is the only lao that I got a Lao Ruby from.
