Please help! Obsidian stone

Hi I'm having trouble picking up the obsidian stones in the dark cave. When I walk up to it it highlights only Stone 'put in inventory' then when I go in inventory it shows stone but not obsidian.
Pleassseeee heeeelllpppp!!!!

Comment:(Jun 4 2009) ok i did figure it out by myself so for someone who had the same problem you need to have the hammer and the chisel.
