The Planetarium- getting on to the Earth from the Building

I (as Bart) got over the vents, to the shuttle, to the claw. Took the rotating planets to the top of the building. Let the ladder down so Homer can get up. Then I jumped onto the satelite- Bart gets a "homer" thought bubble so assume game wants you to put Homer on the satelite also, to hold down the other side to make the side facing planet earth higher?? Seems like at this point the only place to go is towards the center, to the Earth, with the disc around it. But it looks way too far, and everytime, every way I float or jump, I just cannot get that far. I land on the stars at the bottom & have to climb out & go back to building & try again. I feel like I am missing some cruical step, or some trick to make him fly further. Please help. Been stuck here for weeks.

Alright, I got stuck here to! What you have to do it make sure Homer is standing at the very very edge of the satallite (like about to fall off)and the you are right at the opposiite end before you jump off. Hope this helps.
