How do I get past Scottland

I think I read somewhere that I Homer ball is supposed to be burst on the bagpipes in Scottland to get to the next stage. However nothing I do seems to work and I am growing increasingly frustrated with the game. Can someone please tell me how I get through this stage?

When I did it, I jumped on the bagpipes whilst I was homerball. Then pressed x and it deflated.

You have to use homer ball to ram into the boulder, then, carefully position homer ball onto the bagpipes and do a homer SLAM onto them.
