Well sometimes when I play I start the stage and sometimes (but not all the time) I get through half the stage and all of a sudden the screen turns gray and sonic has longer hair and he looks a lot cooler can anyone tell me whats going on and if they know how to do that then tell me ty. Also can you tell me what it does.

I believe this may be a glitch. I don't recall any of that being in the game normally.
