Heya, I used the deathprize weapon (atk 210 - para attribute 260), and the death stench armor which gave me 307 def, and 10 fire res.
And remember it's all about the items you use as well, you may want to bring 5 flash bombs, 10 bomb materials + 10 flashbugs just to make the job a little easier.

I honestly think you should us a long sword with dragon attribute see longs swords are best againts lunastra,kushala daora and teostra try this and you may get it to flee or better yet it might die
Use lots of flash bombs. Theyre the key to beating him don't bother with traps they don't work.
