Easier to kill rathian or monoblos?

K I'm kinda noob. Ok really noob. I want to know whats easier to kill. I am on elder 4 star quests and for the guild...wel I'm still HR1. I was wondering....
Whats easier to kill? The 2 star guild rathian or the elder 4 star quest for monoblos. I'm wondering because a while back I tried to kill the rathain but I ran out of time. But I killed the monoblos in about 20 mins with hunters power bow 1 and basarios armor form the 4 star elder basarios quest. I really just wanna kill rathian so yeah which is easier. If monoblos is easer gimme some tips for rathian. If it's the rathian ill just try with my bow and basarios set.

P.s. Non of my friends have a psp so I've been doing averything alone. *crys*

The 2 star Raithian is a very easy monster to beat.

First of all, use any ranged weapon, then run to area 3, where she always starts, paint her from the fron or side so she can see you (if you do it from behind she flies away), next, run to the ledge that connects area 3 to area 8 and stand as far back as you can, close to thee entrance to area 8, now none of her attacks can hit you (realy, none of them, lol) so shoot away.

Now she will either fly to area 4 (if she goes here, follow and use hit and run tactics untill she moves back to area 3), or the Raithian will stay untill she limps.

When she lims away she will fly to area 7 to rest, follow her in before she goes to sleep and set the supply shock trap, stand behind it with trank bombs ready, she will charge, and get stuck in the trap, then trank her.

And that is the easy way to beat the 2* Raithian (it also works on the 4* one but you use your own trap), so good luck!

Note: trapping the monster is faster, easier and gets you better rewards than killing them outright.

A rathian is definitely harder than monoblos. items you should bring:

Mega nutrients x4

Potion x10

Mega potion x10

Max potion x2 (dragon toadstool+mega nutrient)

Flash bombs x5

Shock trap (genprey fang+trap tool)

Pitfall trap (net+trap tool)

I'd say Rathian. She can hurt you.

The easier one is rathian. Her tackles are easier to dodge and her weakspots, specifically the head, are more exposed than monoblos.

I never actually fought either of them with a bow though; usually, I would use either a greatsword, longsword or hammer.
