MHF1 to MHF2

If I import my stuff from mhf1 to mhf2 will I permanently lose my items in mhf1?
Plz help me with this because I want to make another file

No. If you import your file to MHF 2, from MHF 1, then you will keep all your items/equiptment/progress in MHF 1.
