Question for Monster Hunter Freedom

When do I unlock mining +2 and I can't beat the garuga. I have kut ku plate, genprey head, ioprey tasset, cephalos gloves and genprey leggings. As a wep I have Crystal Nova with 724 ATK or I'm getting mats for dual tomahawk.

After you have beaten the Lao Shun Lung, 6* village quest. The Garuga you just keep doing the mission again and again. The damage carries on from battle to battle, even if you run out of time, or die three times. The only exception is your not allowed to abandon the quest, because the damage won't carry on from battle to battle then. You should be able to kill the Yain garuga with any weapon and any armour, it just might take alot of quests to complete it.
