I think you should try this.Kill a yian-kut-ku and if you carve a kutku ear go to any guild quest in forest and hills and trade it with the little man in zone 7 and he will give it to you.

Kill a Yian kut-ku and you will sometimes get a kut-ku ear (its quite rare), after you get it do another quest (i suggest forest/hills area) and trade over the ear to the little man in area 7 for a monster bone +
