I know it's late to response, but this quest is much easier than you think. I think it's the quest where you'll slay blue kutku. Use your choice weapon (mine, it's sword and shield),pitfall traps, sonic bombs,flash bombs will do, a lots of potions. Don't try to kill him in area 9 due to camera reasons..paintball him to know where this wyvern is at and then pound in his head, wings, tail and that will do it.

Well personally I wait for the kut-ku in area 3 and place a pit fall trap where he lands as soon as he lands attack him with your weapon (i recomend : poision battle axe or silver serpent blade) or bring some large barrel bombs and some small place 2 when he falls in the trap and then detonate with a small barrel bomb. Make sure you take paintballs to track it as it will be injured shorly after you have done this and will likly go to area 4 when it lands throw a flash bomb at it and hack away (be sure to attack the left leg to avoid being hit by the tail)
So you will need
Potions, whetsones, pitfall trap, large barrel bomb x2, small barrel bomb, flash bomb and paintball

Oh yh and to use the felynes that you hired there in you're kitchen at your house and can prepare you meals that increase your stats
