Can you creat weapons yourself?

I was playing monster hunter then I stopped cause I was bored, so I quit and went to Gallery, and watched my current unlocked videos. I saw that they where doing missions I previously did, yet they had awesome armour and weapons I've never seen before! Can you creat weapons? Or was it just that they got good stuff, and they did the sucky missions? Example: On level 1-2 missions, I had the Arbelest bowgun and the full set 1500oz Gunner armour, and in the videos, they had like awesome good armour with a bowgun with like a sheild attached near the front, two red swords, a giant mace thingy, and more... How did they get that kind of armour and weapons? Did they make it? Cheat? Please tell me. Thank-You

ANSWERS

Yes you can create new armor and weapons by giving objects to the weapon person. And yes the new armor on the videos are just for show, they had good armor and did the easy missions to make the game look better.

Ahhhhh....Man you can't create a weapon yourself you'll need to craft it at the crafting shop and you know at the opening the guy with the cool armor it won't be like that armor trust me and it's not a cheat.
