Almost done with the game.. but stuck! Please help?

Alright.. The last part where your trying to get to the last little artifact? (forgot it's name) I cannot get there.. I can go through the caves and find the area that is right across from it, where it's split and won't let you go any further, but I cannot for the life of me find out where to get to the artifact...
