Hey. Firstly you attack him with a spear (I think you can use the sword aswell) and once his armor is gone, he will jump ontop of the cages and fire his claws at you. You have to keep moving at this stage because you can't block his attacks. Once he pauses his attack, throw your spear at him (L + X + square). It should only take about 2/3 hits to kill him. DON'T WORRY, THERE IS PLENTY MORE SPEARS AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE "BATTLE ARENA". Hope this helped!
no hes right you go behind the dead bodies and when he shoots its going to be stuck then go to the other one then its both going to be stuck and then throw the spear etc
Try not to tuck tail if you restart and once you get his armor destroyed fortify your health constantly
