I don't know how to add children to an existing family but you can adopt a child and change the way they look by clicking your sim then choose cellphone then choose call for services and choose adopt child then when you have enough karma/challenge points get the makeover one and choose the sim you adopted. I have not tried this but my friend has.

You can either have a child or adopt one. But either way you have to have a dresser. If you have a baby you have to wait until they are a toddler but if you adopt a child this is all you have to do. You click the dresser and it will say plan outfit but all you can change is the hair, makeup, and clothing. This also works for young adults, adults, and elders your welcome

To add a sim to your household, use the cellphone to call for services, under services you will see child adoption.

(*note this only works in a household that has less then six sims as that is the maximum amount aloud.


If you want a adult not a child, you can rapid age them by purchasing the birthday inferno cake from the grocery store. Then throw a birthday party and have your child blow the candles out at a birthday party. You blow out the candles by having your sim slect the cake and scroll down options till you see blow out candles. Depending on the original age of the adoptee you might have to do this a couple of times.


Another way to ad a sims to your household is to transformafy a pet into a sim. You need 150 karma points to do so. Once you have the points hit select on the controller scroll over to karma and choose the transmogrify option. You can edit there looks after transmogrifying process starts. Note if you want a female your pet needs to be female, same for male, so choose a pet of the gender and age you want. Kitten or puppy for kid, adult dog or cat for adult human.


The only way I know to edit relationship between the new sims is by casting the get lucky karma. This turns them from housemate to friend -

To friend to romantic interest

Romantic interest to girlfriend/boyfriend

Finally propose then throw a wedding party to turn fiancée to spouse.
