After I close the gate as tails so that the dolphin can't escape the next stage is to chase dr eggmans ship I can't seem to get to the end of the chas e because sonic keeps on dieing coz he goes to fast and keeps bumping in to the things also y can't I save the bit that I have done like the dolphin part I always have to start from the begining everytime I die chasing the battle ship so please can you help me get to the next steage and save

Her's a tip-since you already have Light Dash,use the to run in a straight line whlie at the same time collecting rings.
If you keep on trying, you'll get used to the speed. Also, try to see the upcoming hazards long before they're close, and try to calculate where to move. It's hard, I know, I had a lot if trouble, but just keep on trying. But don't take the victory for granted when you finish it, because I'm pretty sure there's another hard thing after that. I don't know though, I passed that thing a while ago.
