Date of Question: Jun 24 2009 | Question ID: 143418

Hi, can anyone help!

I have reached the area where I have to fight the boss and have used everything I can to kill him including letting him pick up the gas cylinders then shoot them, flamethrower and so on yet I just end up running out of bullets and he is still standing. Is there a trick or something Im doing wrong as to why I can't kill him.

Look forward to hearing from someone

Comment:(Jun 25 2009) Thanks for that

On whatever level of difficulty you are playing, a rocket launcher will have you wondering what all the fuss was about! It is a one-shot kill for some bosses and all sub-bosses. Naturally, it is an expensive weapon to buy but worth it if you can afford to buy one. If you can`t afford to here is a handy little trick. Just return to the first level of the marshlands and travel to the partially submerged ship (It is roughly North-west of the poultry farm, which, if you look on your map appears as a circular shape in the middle of the map with a curved line underneath it).
With the rocket launcher aside, a powerful gun like the S & W Magnum that is at least partially upgraded can help. Naturally though, Magnum ammo is hard to come by but the boss U-8 releases small creatures from itself that when killed can drop those precious ammo (especially if you have with you in your possesion). So if you want to you re-fight this boss, keep killing it`s creatures that it releases and stock up on any magnum ammo they leave behind. You can repeatedly do this until you get bored.
On a final note, killing it with any other gun or the flame thrower requires you to hit it's weakspot. To get it to reveal it's weakspot you need to hit it a set number of times. That`s why I recommend that, if you are ging to do it the long way, to use a partially upgraded magnum. Even better if the firepower of the S & W is maxed out as it can do about 2000 points worth of damage per shot. It isn`t essential that it is maxed out though (Upgrading any kind of magnum can rob you of a lot of money). Oh yeah, before I forget, when it comes to defeating Uroboros on higher difficulty levels (I`m espeially refering to professional mode!!!) A rocket launch IS RECOMMENDED as it may be your only chance of survival.

Shoot him in the bubbly thing on his arm until it falls off, then use fire to get rid of the worm things, then shoot him in the head, after that some things will come out of his back and you have little time to shoot at, then he will recover and you repete
