Most of the weapons in Defiance lose accuracy when they are on their full automatic settings. However, if you are careful you can mitigate this to a degree by employing two methods. The first one is to rapidly tap the attack button instead of just holding it down. Doing this tends to reset weapon accuracy in all firearms except the LMG. The second way is by using the controller to lower the barrel of your weapon during the later stages of a burst. Doing this especially with the SMGs can compensate considerably for runaway. Also, it is important to remember that crouching and crouch-walking improves your accuracy, while walking and jumping reduces it.
