The resulting work was the main walkthrough, produced in a three-day crunch time, which was soon followed up by help for the bonus dungeons and several minor error edits. However, that would not be the end of it, as people were still asking for help on the message boards on how to recruit so-and-so character, get so- and-so event to occur, and so on. This would lead me to produce my mammoth-sized character database, which in itself was done from start to finish in two days. R.I.P. Darkstar Ripclaw's sanity, ?-April 30th, 2006. My original intention was to have just finished up a walkthrough, and, considering the amount of documentation that had already been written on the other parts of the game, run away quickly. However, after I had expanded the guide to include the character database (and gotten a few emails from readers looking for the miscellaneous information), I figured later on in June, "Eh, why not?" For if I was going to go to all that work, I might as well finish the project. What you see here is, for all results and purposes, perhaps the most complete compilation of information for Radiata Stories on the web. It admittedly is not fully complete, as there is always stuff to be added, but for now, it should serve in some function to help you with your Radiata Stories needs. -Darkstar Ripclaw ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ODDS-AND-ENDS ODAE ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Major Section or Subsection +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Area Names ---------- ========== Boss fight ========== In this section, I label out things that should be kept in mind when using this walkthrough. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ A MAJOR SPOILER, DO NOT READ AHEAD. Much of the organization of this walkthrough lies around three focal points. The first is that you have one hundred seventy seven (177) characters that can be recruited in this game. Thirty-some of them are missable. The second is that after about two-thirds through the game, you have to decide to take one of two sides of a war; the human or non-human side. The third is that for about half the game (or close to most of it depending on which side you choose) is made up of an assorted bunch of optional missions that you can take as a mercenary. Depending on if you miss any of these missions, you might also miss a certain character. Because of this, I have a massive amount of checklists of things for you to do. There will be a pre-mission checklist at the beginning of each mission where warranted, making a few things clear. There will be a checklist after each mission. And there will be a checklist near the end of each major arc of the game. The checklists will be prioritized, so that the must-do things are at the beginning (such as recruiting a character you can only recruit now, or getting an item that will disappear later), and the optional parts are near the end (such as recruiting a character whom you can recruit during any timeframe for the rest of the game). Most importantly, though, I have designed this walkthrough with the ability to gain EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in mind. With this in mind, I must admit out of guilt that this has resulted in some bloating of information, as every 'To-Do' list after every mission and section will have many things repeated, as with characters such as Thanos, it must be said. Obviously, to have a 100% sure- fire rate at getting every character, one must follow this walkthrough from the start, but at the same time, I have tried to make it so that you can pick it up at wherever you are and go from there. This also means that I have to spoil the main twist of the game, the split, but I decided against not revealing that so that a reader may get everything he needs on his first playthrough. On one last note; if ever I say to "examine" an object in the game, I usually mean for you to kick it. However, I will usually directly say for you to kick it, and believe me, there's a lot of that in this walkthrough. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ WALKTHROUGH WLTH ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ TABLE OF CONTENTS ----------------- Beginning -"The Escorts" TESR -"The Royal Message" TRYM -Event: Dischargement DSCH Theater Vancoor Part 1 -Event: Joining Theater Vancoor JTHV -Event: City Exploration CTEX -"Crocogator Hides" CRHD -"A Masterpiece of Fantasy" AMPF -"Beasts by the Bridge" BBTB -"Smilodon Fang" SMDF -Event: Ms. Shiela MSSH -"Royal Guardians" RYGR Theater Vancoor Part 2 -Event: A Visitor for Aphelion AVFA -"The Ultimate Battle" TUMB -Event: Gerald's Letter GRLT -"Vexatious Vermin" VXVM -"Creatures of the Sewer" COTS -"Treasure of Goblin Cemetery" TOGC -"Gonovitch's Dilemma" GVDL Theater Vancoor Part 3 -Event: Birthday Party BRPR -"Stone of Miracles" STOM -"Top Secret Mission" TSMS -Event: The Earth Dragon TEDR -"Build that Body!" Use it as you wish to ready yourself for the battle system of Radiata Stories if this is your first time through, but otherwise, don't bother. Ridley will eventually pound you with her one-hit-kill Volty Blast, Wild Pitch. The battle will end right at that happens. ========== Radiata Castle -------------- After the fight is over, watch the next handful of scenes, until you get dumped inside your bedroom. You will also get a TRAINEE'S WEAR armor and a ROYAL KNIGHTS CHARTER (key item). With the talking over, kick your bed to get an ANALYSIS BALL. Kick the lone desk in the room for a CURE DROP,Exit outside. Also, try going around Leonard on his chair to kick the back bed for 10Dagols.If you want, kick the guard outside your door up to 400 times to get a single Dagol (the currency of the game) each time. Head right, and enter the first door you see. In here, kick the second chair on the right desk for a CURE DROP, then exit. Back in the hallway, go left down into the next hallway. In this hallway, go all the way left, and open the only doorway on the wall. Inside the storeroom, kick the cabinet for an HERB EXTRACT, and leave. Now head back right a hallway, and go through the door at the right end into a room with a spiralling staircase. Ignore the stairs for now, and go right two doors into another open room. Take the upper room in here, and go left and take the only north door. Go behind the boxes here and kick the locker to obtain a KNIGHT EDGE, an upgrade for your current Iron Edge weapon. Exit, and go left into a training room. Examine the dummy near the clock in here to go through some training exercises and obtain some Combo Attacks if you wish. Now go back into the last open space, and head left back to the room with a staircase. Go up two flights of stairs onto a second floor. Up here, ignore the stairway going up to the third floor, and instead enter Ridley's Room, the first door to the north. Inside, kick the table and mirror in the lower right corner for a HOLY WATER, and kick the green cabinet in the lower left corner for RIDLEY'S THEME. Exit, and go into the Supply Store to the left. Kick the statue in the upper-left for 5 Dagols. Exit, go right, and head up the staircase. On the third floor, head left from the start and enter the first door into Natalie's Room. Kick the chest in the lower right corner for a CURE DROP, then exit and go left one more door into Ganz's Room. Kick the upper-left desk for 15 Dagols, then kick the wooden cabinet in the lower right for GANZ'S THEME. Exit back out into the hallway, go right a hallway, and in here, enter the only door to the Knight's Meeting Room. More cutscenes will then take place afterwards. Ganz will soon afterwards take you to the Colisseum. Here, he'll teach you some of the basics of fighting, so listen well. Afterwards, some more cutscenes will occur, you will get three new party members in Ganz, Ridley, and Clive, a priest. Some scenes later, you will be dropped off outside of Lupus Gate. Adien Region ------------ Head left from the gate, and use the Blue Flag where needed. Ignore the Journey Pig statue for now, as you can not use it until later in the game. Instead, continue left into the next screen. Coming in, head left until you see a well in the background towards the top. Go left ever-so-slightly and go down to kick a rock for an EMPTY BOTTLE. Now head all the way left until you come to the fork. Talk to Louis if you want, and talk to him a second time to buy stuff from him. Head south from here now, and kick a rock just south of the sign for a FLEE BALL. Now continue south to another split in the road, and go towards. Kick a stack of boxes next to the house for a MINT DROP, then go down the road and kick a rock at the bottom of the hill for a CURE NEEDLE. Go back to where Louis is now, and go left into the next area, Nuevo Village. In Nuevo Village, head left until you get past the first house, then go behind and around it to the right. Against the stone wall is a slightly-visible chest. Kick it to obtain an EVASION BERRY, then head back to the front, and kick the boxes in front of the left house for an HERB EXTRACT. Now continue left outside of Nuevo Village back into the Adien region. From the entrance, head left down the street, and when you come to a three-way, go north past the shed. Down the road, ignore the first path going down, but right past that first path and before the bridge, kick the right and left totem poles, respectively for a CURE DROP and an ANALYSIS BALL. Now continue past the road on the straight path until you exit out onto the next screen. Now in the Dova-Adien road-link, head left down the dirt road, and then go across the bridge. On the other side, continue in this general direction into the Dova region. Dova Region ----------- Head left, until you manage to see a road that is somewhat off in the background, that you can not get to just yet unless you walk left some more. There should be a rock slightly to the right of this backroad, almost perfectly lined up with a tree behind it. Kick it to obtain an HERB EXTRACT. Ignore the backroad for now, and continue on left. When your camera begins to tilt, keep an eye to the right, and before you go into the small patch of trees, kick the rocks to the right for some EYE DROPS. Head up and right now for a cutscene. Afterwards, head right and go along the snaking path down from the high cliffs you were just on, and after you've gone downhill to the right, kick a rock at the corner here; it should have a FLEE BALL to it is name. Continue down, and then head left along a dirt road again until you get to the end of the path. One cutscene later, you will be inside Earth Valley. Earth Valley ------------ In here, go left from the entrance gate, and head down the staircase. Continue left some more, and go through the front doors of the giant yellow and orange building, which I will later refer to as Gonovitch's house. Inside, head up a staircase, and watch the cutscene. you will then be put outside of the building, with your party disbanded. Go back inside the house, go up to the second floor, and kick the drawers behind the desk for a LIFE BERRY. Exit outside again. With your new freedom, first head up the staircase that you came down originally. The left-most building and right-most building here are respectively the Triston Armory and DwarFun General Store. Pick stuff up if you want, but avoid the Inn for now. Go back down the staircase, then head left all the way on this floor to a building with some bottle symbols on top. Inside the Vashtel Liquor Store, talk to Grigory four times, then exit. Outside, head right, and go down the staircase somewhat front of Gonivitch's house. At the bottom of the first staircase, enter the door here into Marke's House. Kick the brown cabinet right next to the furnace(?) for a FLEE BALL, then exit back out. Go up the staircase, and then head down the staircase that is right in front of Gonovitch's house. Take the second staircase, then go left and head down the long bridge. Kick the pickax for some EYE DROPS, then head back across the bridge, and go up only one staircase. From here, head right, and enter the third house with a hammer as it is icon. Inside, go up the stairs and kick open the cabinet for an HERB EXTRACT, then exit. Outside once more, kick the pot right next to Gerhmann's house for a PANIC POWDER, then head back up the stairs. When 5pm rolls around, there are two things that you should do. The first thing to do is go to where the Liquor Store is, and head down to the left from there to a building that is normally guarded by the dwarf Albert. Alberta, however, will have gone off to the pub, so enter the Treasury. Kick open the chest in here. You will have to slay a pack of Carnivorats, but afterwards, you will win a MYSTERY BERRY. The second thing you should do is go to the Dawnbay Diner, which is to the right of the Liquor Store and to the left of Gonovitch's house. Inside, talk to Oleg, the bartender, twice. Afterwards, exit out, and head to the Inn, which is in-between the Armory and the General Store. Inside, take the back door, and then take the second door to the left in the hallway. In the room, talk to Ganz, then go and examine the Red Flag, and head to sleep. In the daytime again, go to the Diner, and inside, watch the cutscene. Afterwards, wait for 5pm to roll around again, then enter the Diner and talk to Oleg. Select "Be Honest", and you will receive an HERB EXTRACT DX. Exit out, go back to the Inn, and have another nap. Afterwards, you will be placed back in the Dova Region, guarding Donovitch. Dova Region ----------- Going on the way back, you must not stray too far from Donovitch; doing so will result in a reprimand, and force you back. As such, try to go at about the same pace as Donovitch himself. Go left from the start, and, as the camera twists and rolls, south and right down the same road. However, when you get to the split, you will have to reverse directions from where you once came from, and instead take the back road on to the next screen. On this next screen, keep up with the cart as it rolls right, until you encounter a cutscene. After the admittedly light-hearted scene, you will have a boss fight. ======================= AESOP, GOB, & MONKI ======================= Aesop: 159 HP, 29 STR, 30 DEF, 51 EVA, 46 LCK 350 EXP, 5 Dagols, Cement Powder Moves: Ladle Attack (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Pouch Pitch (Long Range, 0.5 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Confuse 1.2) Gob: 249 HP, 32 STR, 36 DEF, 63 EVA, 56 LCK 350 EXP, 5 Dagols, Herb Extract S Moves: Fly Swatter (Medium range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Monki: 132 HP, 24 STR, 27 DEF, 67 EVA, 53 LCK 350 EXP, 5 Dagols, Snow Powder Moves: Spatula Attack (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Pouch Pitch (Long Range, 0.5 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Confuse 1.2) The Goblin trio will start this battle off in a Link. While in a Link, they are able to surround one of your characters with a group effort, and batter him or her repeatedly with attacks until s/he manages to make it out of their highly triangle of death. You will in the future be able to use Links as well, but that is for another time. Although Clive should be able to heal any damage that your three fighters take, do not bother relying on him. Instead, target Monki, whom has the lowest HP and Defense, identifying him out of the trio by focusing on one of the goblins and selecting an offensive item. If that goblin identifies as Monki, then attack. Otherwise, switch goblins until you get to the right one. Use your current Volty; you may be able to knock Monki down, thus breaking the link. Otherwise, pressure him with Voltys and in-between regular attacking until he falls. When Monki falls, the Link is permanently broken for the rest of the battle, due to there not being enough enemies. Seek out Aesop next, and wildly slash at him until he falls. Turn your attention to Gob afterwards, and he too should fall in turn, giving you the battle. ======================= After the battle and subsequent cutscene, continue on right from your dropoff point. Defend the caravan against any more monsters as you proceed. Another note: while going uphill, the caravan will also go much slower, so slow down to match your speed. Once you get to the next screen, you will automatically be taken back to the castle. Radiata Castle -------------- From where you start off, head right through the large castle door. Inside the castle hallway, head left and try to enter the bathroom for a one- time scene. Next, head right all the way to the right end of the hallway, and go through the door. Repeat going to the right door of the next hallway. In the final hallway, continue right until you come to some stairways, then go all the way up to the fourth floor. At the top, go up the stairs and take the left door. In this hallway, head left continuously until a cutscene automatically occurs. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THE ROYAL MESSAGE TRYM ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Start off saving in your room, then exit. Go left two hallways, and you will be put into the Castle's Big Tower. Go down the spiralling staircase to the very bottom, until you get to a ladder. Climb down the ladder, and on the ground floor, go and take the northern unblocked door. In here, head right along the passageway, refraining from kicking the enemies, until you come to the next room. In here, kick open the chest for a STRENGTH BERRY. Go back to the Big Tower, but don't head into the right sewer, as it is useless. Instead, climb back up the tower, and go back to Basement Floor 1 (the second-to-last door going down if you forgot which door it is). Back here, head right through all the doors until you come to the Small Tower room. Go up the spiralling staircase, and take the first door to your right, going onto the first floor. Up here, go right from the corner past the stairway going down, and take the first door into the lounge. Inside, kick the desk to the left for a FLEE BALL, and kick the plant in the upper-left corner for 50 Dagols. Exit out, and head left all the way to the left door. Go into the next room. Skip the first door while continuing left, and go into the Male's Bathroom. In here, kick the bucket next to the sink for a HOLY WATER, then go back out. Head right a hallway, and in this hallway, go up the stairs at the right end. From the staircase, go left all the way until you come to a door with an emblem of a fork and knife over the top. Inside, kick the pile of dishes on the table for a CURE DROP, then go back out. Go right all the way through all the hallways on the second floor until you get to the elevator. Next to the elevator, kick the couch for a MINT DROP. Since you've already covered the other half of this floor back in "The Escorts", go up the staircase next to the staircase you took to the second floor, to the third floor. On the third floor, go right one hallway from your current position. In this room, continue right, and take the third door to the north, into the Infirmary. In here, kick the cabinet below the lower-right bed for an HERB EXTRACT, then leave the room. Head right one hallway, then continue on and go up the staircase to the fourth floor. Here, go up the middle staircase, and take the right door. Go around to the right end of the room and head through the next door. In here, continue right, ignoring the only door to the north. Coming in, take the second door to the north into Cross's Room, and kick the knight's statue in the upper left for a COOLING SPRAY. Leave, and go right one more door into the Study. Kick the cabinet to the north of the first set of chairs for an HERB EXTRACT, then head back and kick the third locker from the left for a MINT DROP. With all this done, go back to Jack's room. If you do not immediately have your cutscene, first save, then go to sleep. You will then be given your next mission briefing, and after another cutscene, you shall be dropped off in the Cuatour Region, with Ganz and Ridley rejoining your party. Cuatour Region -------------- From where you are put at, head left until you come to a split between left and up, and go up. Here, go left long the dirt road up and down a hill, then loop around and go right and left up a much steeper hill until you reach the tree at the top. Kick the larger of the two rocks at the top of the tree to receive a CELESTIAL NECTAR, then go back down and onto the last screen. Back here, take the left path, and continue onwards until you reach Fort Helencia, where a cutscene will occur. After the cutscenes, head back right one scene into the Fort Helencia Courtyard. Go and step into the blue portal to restore your HP, then go right. You should see Louis, the wandering merchant, to the south, and a blue flag to the north. Aside from that, head right some more to find a chest near the bottom right with a KNIGHT EDGE, and a Training Dummy. Afterwards, head back up the upper-left path. Back here, continue left along the generic dirt road towards the other end of the area. Once you make it into the Elf-Cuatour Region link, head over the bridge to the left end, and enter the Elf Region. Elf Region ---------- In here, head left, and then go north up the hill. Once you get close to the man with the cane on the top of the hill, a cutscene will occur. After the scene, Genius will join you. Afterwards, head left and down the hill from Genius' house, and go through a cave at the end of the screen. In the next area, continue left until you come to a waterfall area. After the number of cutscenes that follow, Genius will have a new destination in mind; the village of the Dark Elves. Afterwards, head to the Fort Helencia Courtyard all the way back in the Cuatour region, also going through another cutscene while in the Elf-Cuatour Region link. Cuatour Region -------------- In the Fort Helencia Courtyard, use the healing blue spot and blue flag as needed, then head down to the left end of Fort Helencia, and exit. Go left around the body of water on the next screen, then continue uphill until you get into the Nowem-Cuatour Region link. In here, go left up the tree branch and across the makeshift bridge, and at the end, jump down the rocks. Continue left into the Nowem Region. Nowem Region ------------ Here, head left until you come to a split. When you do, go back right a bit, and look towards the giant log in the background. Kick the rock towards the right end of the log for an ANALYSIS BALL, then head southwards into a giant forest. In here, kick the first tree to the north while you are going downhill for a SAGE, then head left around south the rocks to find a chest. Kick it open for some RECOVERY PILLS, then head up the rocks and across the log to the other side of the river. After the short cutscene, go through the giant tree trunk. On the other side, head left a short way until you spot a fork. Kick the right-most totem pole north of this crossway for a BELL AMULET, and then kick the second-from-the-left totem pole for 150 Dagols. Head left and then go across the log bridge. On the other side, kick the rock next to the river and south of the log for a FLEXIBILITY LOTION, then continue left. Of the three trunks offered to you, take the middle trunk, and go straight to the next screen. In this area, take the upper log, and follow the path straight up-left until you get onto solid ground. Continue left, but keep your eyes open; when you see a pile of three rocks next to a log to the north, go south and kick the right totem for an HERB EXTRACT S, then go up the actual log in the north and open a chest for a MASS OF ENMITY. Go back down the log, then continue left to the Forest Metropolis. Talk to Mikey, the Dark Elf here, and go through the cutscene. you will then enter the Forest Metropolis. Forest Metropolis ----------------- After the cutscene, head left a bit and go up the staircase. On the second floor, turn a sharp left, and head up the stairs. You might not be able to see them easily, so keep a sharp eye on the left wall. One cutscene later, leave Nogueira's room, going through the right door, and then go down the stairs outside onto the second floor. Here, go left all the way to the left-most door on this floor, and enter. Kick the wood and metal cabinet to your left after entering to obtain the ELF REGION record. Exit, then go back down the right-most staircase onto the first floor once more. If you need to Save and Sleep, however, use the middle room on the second floor. Back to the first floor, go to the barrel to the left of where Ridle is leaning against the wall, and kick it to get a LIFE BERRY. Go left and then talk to Marsha if you want to to buy some items, and afterwards, head around back of Marsha and enter the back door. In the Kitchen, kick one of the wooden tables in the upper-right for a MUSTARD POWDER, and then kick the ceramic pot near the upper-left for a HOLY WATER. Afterwards, exit and head right to the entrance of the cave. Take the upper-right door here, and take the first door inside into the Kitchen. In here, kick the pile of barrels to the left for a MAGMA POWDER, then exit. Head right, and kick the first barrel left of Ganz for another LIFE BERRY. Talk to Captain Ganz now. He'll ask you to go and get him some wine. Answer "Sure", and Jack will automatically go down to the cellar. After the conversation has been initiated and you've gone through most of it, answer "Rich", then "No Way!", then "A master cook!", and finally "Plain Veggie Soup" to get some ELVEN WINE. Taking it back to Ganz, you will get 800 Dagols in return. Exit back into the main room, and go left and down to the bottom-left corner. You may need to do a bit of looking, as the stairs here are a bit hard to see. Head up, and at the top, take the left door. Inside, kick the right pot underneath the desk for an EVASION BERRY. Exit, and take the right door. Kick the left pot next to the desk for a HEATING TABLET, and the middle pot for a BELL AMULET. After all this, head up to the second floor, and take the middle room of the three. Save, then sleep as many times as is needed until you can initiate the next cutscene. you will end up fighting a Blood Orc in battle. ============= BLOOD ORC ============= ??? HP, 65 STR, 35 DEF, 58 EVA, 65 LCK Fire Punch (Fire, Medium Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.3 Knockback, 100% chance of of Blaze & Knockback) Fire Kick (Fire, Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback, 100% chance of Blaze) Body Blaze (Short Range, 360 Arc, 1.3 Power, 1.0 Knockback, 100% chance of Knockback) It should be noted that you CANNOT WIN this battle. Instead, it is divided up into two segments of about a minute each. If you die, you will lose regardless. Instead, you must last through the whole first minute, then through the whole second without Ridley. In fighting the Blood Orc, he has three attacks. The first will be where he shall punch a person with a fiery blaze emitting from it. If it connects, then not only will it knock the person back, but it will also give him the Blaze condition. The same goes for the Blood Orc's Fire Kick, which, obviously, is a kick with fire power behind it, but it will not knock you back. The last attack to watch for is one that he uses rarely. The Blood Orc will jump up into the air, and then slam down onto the Earth floor, creating a shockwave and knocking back anybody within range. Perhaps the easiest way to deal with the Blood Orc is to lock on him, get close to him, and then run around him. He'll rotate to follow you, but will not actually attack you unless you stop. When another of your party members attacks the Blood Orc, quickly slash at him yourself to get his attention, and repeat. This sucks up a great deal of time, and reduces the amount of attacks he can get out in each one-minute time frame. ============= Afterwards, a wackload of cutscenes. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ DISCHARGEMENT DSCH ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Radiata Castle -------------- Back here, there's not much that you can do now. With that in mind, head down to your bedroom on the first basement floor, and go to sleep. Afterwards, exit your room, and you will see Al running past you. Follow him by going three doors to the left into the Big Tower. In here, go down three full flights of stairs to another door, and enter the Basement Floor 2. In here, head right, go through the door leading into the dungeon passage, and watch the scenes that follow. Afterwards, head up to the second floor, and go to the Supply Store. Say "Sure". you will be asked to find Leonard and deliver him a message. Your first stop should be back left through the doors and down the Big Tower to basement floor one. Exit out, and go to your room. Leonard will not be around, but the guard near your door will mention that he has gone to Ganz's room, which is on the third floor. Use the Big Tower again, and go to the third floor, which is at the very top part of the tower. From the third floor hallway, head right one hallway, and then enter the left-most door in here. Afterwards, use the Big Tower again and go down to the basement one floor. Run three hallways right from your starting point into the Small Tower room. In here, continue on right into the next room, then go right again, up into the big door, then left into the training room. Once the conversation is over, head back all the way to the Big Tower, and go to the third floor once more. Go to where Ganz's room is, but knock on the door right of his door. Afterwards, select "Keep Looking", then go back to your bedroom on the basement floor. you will finally find Leonard. Once that is done, you will automatically be returned to the Supply Store, and given 400 Dagols. Go back to your bedroom, and have a sleep to initiate some cutscenes. Once they're done and you have free control again, wander around until somewhere in between 10am and 6pm, after which you should return to your room. Another cutscene. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ JOINING THEATER VANCOOR JTHV ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Theater Vancoor --------------- Watch some cutscenes, then fight Jarvis. ========== JARVIS ========== 39 HP, 109 STR, 103 DEF, 72 EVA, 62 LCK 578 EXP, 159 Dagols Thrust (Fire, Medium Range, 40 Arc, 0.6 Power, 0.5 Knockback) While Jarvis will normally be a threat, he's been reduced to 39 HP out of about 396 due to his excess drinking. Additionally, his movement has also been greatly decreased, as he's stumbling all over the place. All you need to do is lock on to him, and run up to him. Run around him in circles for a few seconds, and when he exposes himself, hit him a couple of times, using a Volty if necessary to win. ========== Once inside, talk to EVERYONE, and then talk to Ganz. After the next cutscene, you will be dropped off on Theater Vancoor's second floor. Enter the door to your close left, and listen to Caesar (Valar Morghulis). Once you go outside again, head up the stairway leading to floor three, and up here, take the door to your left again. One cutscene later, you will be in another fight. ========== GERALD ========== ??? HP, 216 ATT, 184 DEF, 133 EVA, 166 LCK Uno Thrust (Wind, Medium Range, 50 Arc, 0.7 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Breaks Parry) Dos Bash (Fire, Medium Range, 220 Arc, 0.8 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Blaze 1.0) Tres Slice (Wind, Medium Range, 100 Arc, 0.9 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Reverse Slice (Fire, Medium Range, 100 Arc, 1.5 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Blaze 1.0, Knocks back) Dual Wave Blade (VOLTY BLAST, 1.3 Knockback, 987 fixed damage, Knockback) This fight cannot be won. Do what you will to draw out the battle, but sooner or later, you will be forced to fall, ending the battle and continuing the story. ========== After the battle is over, you will be placed back out on the second floor hallway. Head up to the third floor again, then continue up to the fourth floor. Take the door to our left for the last time, and watch and listen. Afterwards, watch the ensuing cutscenes. Afterwards, the next day will come by. Radiata City ------------ From your starting point at your house, go back inside. Save at the red flag if you need to, and kick the box in the lower left corner of the room for JACK'S THEME. Exit, and once you are outside, go right and up the staircases. Once on the main street, head right onto the next screen. In here, take the door into the large building in the center of the screen, Theater Vancoor. Inside, Thanos will assign you, and tells you your squad room is one floor below. Head to the first basement floor, then head as far left as you can and enter the door at the end. Inside, you will have an encounter with Jarvis again, in what is easily the best match of emoticons ever. Afterwards, Jarvis takes you to the training ground (you have to go there manually; right-most door on the second floor), where you will fight the other Hecton Squad member, Daniel. ========== DANIEL ========== 326 HP, 60 STR, 70 DEF, 31 EVA, 50 LCK 178 EXP, 222 Dagols Tree Chopper (Short Range, 90 Arc, 0.8 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Daniel Blow (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.2 Power, 1.3 Knockback) Despite how Jarvis may make it sound optional that this fight must be won, it is MANDATORY you win this battle, else it will result in a game over. That said, Daniel isn't really that much of a problem. Equip a weapon that has five or six Combo Points, and put on Cyclone Thrust or Upper Slash if you have either of them, so that it is somewhat like Right Slash-Left Slash-Upper Slash/Cyclone Thrust. Daniel himself is somewhat slow, especially being equipped with an axe. He'll first try a swing at Jack (which you should try to dodge first). His second attack, if you give him enough room to go for it, is a downward swing that is even slower. When he does this, quickly run around his back, and Slash, Slash, Slash/Thrust at him to knock him back/down. When he gets up, repeat this pattern until he finally falls in royal fashion. Alternatively, you could also just guard and then counterblow when Daniel hits you, and he'll run out of HP first more likely than not. ========== After the fact, Jarvis will explain the mechanics of Theater Vancoor, then teaches you a few things more about party-based commands and the like. When that is done, Clive will come by from the Olacion Order and sign on your friend list. Thanos will explain some things, and then you will be free to go. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CITY EXPLORATION CTEX ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This section is different from the others in that it is entirely non- eventful. All it deals with is doing a full exploration of the city so as to get every item that is laying around, and a checklist at the end showing every Friend you can get now. At this point in time, I recommend that you DO NOT recruit Friends outside of Radiata City; very soon, you will be given a mechanism that makes traveling a lot easier.... The only must-have recommendations I have for friends at this time includes Aidan. This is because he is THE ONLY character in the game, with the exception of Jack, who has/can have a Training Device equipped. This gives you a 20% EXP boost in battles, which is very helpful. Additionally, once you get him to Level 32, he gives you access to Cecil, a very good character for much of the game. The other recommendations are Alba and/or Cosmo for fighting, and either Romaria (non-human) or Flora (human) depending on which path you will take after the split. Anyways, WALKTHROUGH TIME. From Theater Vancoor's front door, head down the road going left towards Lupus Gate, until you see a building with a sign with the word "INN" in front of it. Enter inside, go behind the desk, and kick the cabinet open for an HERB EXTRACT S. Go up the stairs to the second floor, and kick the table and flower pot for 50 Dagols. Go down the stairs, and leave the inn. Back outside, head to Theater Vancoor's entrance again, and go right from here. In this side path, continue right, going past the path stretching uphill to Vancoor Square. Instead, pass the first building and enter the second one into San Patty Accessories. In here, go behind the hung-up sheet and kick the slightly-visible chest behind it for a LIFE BERRY. Go back around the sheet and head up the staircase now to the second floor. Up top, kick the barrel for 50 Dagols, and the larger money bag for 200 Dagols. Leave SPA now, and continue right. Just before you come to the overpass, kick the boxes in the space between the walls for a MINT DROP. Continue right a bit more, then go up and left along the staircase to Vancoor Square. Coming into Vancoor Square, head left to where there is an Armory and General Store. Go inside the left of the stores, the Verontier Armory. Take the right door into the storeroom, and in here, kick the cabinet next to the clothes rack for a CEMENT POWDER. Leave the store, and enter the Belmont General Store. Kick the pots to the direct left of the entrance for a MUD POWDER, then leave. Outside again, head up-left to the exit next to the General Store. you will go into the Path of the Sun. In here, head left until you see a brick wall to your north, along with a clothesline hanging overhead. Go in here, and kick the bucket next to the door for a BELL AMULET. Leave, and then continue left into the Olcasion Order area. In here, head left and take the first door you see into the Universal Tree hallway. In here, kick the first pillar with a painting on it for an HERB EXTRACT, then continue on and take the second-to-last door on the north side of the hallway. Kick the bucket in the lower left here for a MINT DROP, exit the room, head left, and go down. Out in the mian body of the chapel, head down the rows of benches and kick the back bench on the left for a HOLY WATER. Now go forward again, and take the left door into the Mortal Tree Hallway. In here, take the first doorway into Anastia's room, and kick the cabinet in the lower-left corner for a SNOW POWDER. Outside again, go and kick the painting to the left of the second door for 70 Dagols, then enter the third room. Kick the pillows in the upper-right corner for a BELL AMULET. With this done, make your way back to Theater Vancoor's entrance. Head left from here. In the Path of Swords and Wisdom, head left until you come to a building with a bottle on top if it as an icon, and enter into the Pharmacy. In here, kick the plant pot at the entrance for an HERB EXTRACT, then go through the door at the back right. Inside, continue on and go into the next door. In here, kick the chest for 1000 Dagols, and then kick the bag right above it for 100 Dagols. Leave the Pharmacy. Back on the street, head left until you see some garbage bags inside a fence. Kick the bags for an EMPTY BOTTLE, then continue left and down to where Jack's House is. To the left of your house, kick the stack of books right below the standing barel for a CURE NEEDLE. Go back up the stairs, head left across the overpass, then continue on into the next screen. Here, head straight left, until you see a building with a needle icon over it (as in a needle shot). Enter. In here, go left and head up the stairs to the second floor, and on top, kick the bucket in the lower-left corner of the room for 50 Dagols. Exit outside again, go down the steps to your left, and enter the Eisenhower Pharmacy. Inside, kick the cabinet in the lower right for an HERB EXTRACT, then leave again. Go down the stairs, head left, up the stairs, and into the Bookstore. Inside, kick the flower pot to your immediate right for a STARTLE POWDER, then leave. In fresh air again, head left all the way until you get to the gate, and stop. Go into the Guard's Post next to the gate via the slightly-visible door. Kick the locker to your immediate right inside for a BELL AMULET, then leave. Outside again, head right a small amount, and then go along the northern road. On the Path of Insanity and Fanaticism, head left until you see a garbage pile. Kick the box on the right here for an HERB EXTRACT DX, then continue left onwards into the next area. Depending on the time, you will have a chance encounter with Leon Weissheit, Genius' sister. Afterwards, ignore the left turn completely, and go right until you come to the front entrance to the Vareth Magic Institute. Enter. Inside, take a hard turn right up the stairs in the lower-right corner. Go up the stairs again in the next corner, and up here, kick the chair in the lower right for an HERB EXTRACT. Go left a bit and then kick the last instrument on the lower table for some TRIA MILK. Head back down to the bottom floor now, and go left. Kick the assortment of boxes underneath the clock for an ANALYSIS BALL. Now take the lower of the two left doors. In the Infirmary, kick the cabinet to your right for some EYE DROPS, then go left and kick the bucket next to the left-most bed for a CURE DROP. Exit, and take the upper-left door. In here, go straight up, and kick the second bucket north of the middle door for 10 Dagols. Head left and kick the bucket in the bottom-left corner now for a HEATING TABLET. Enter the door next to this bucket, and then take the left-most door in the next area to go into Star Tower Interior. Go to the very bottom of the tower, and enter the door here. Help Marietta here and get her on your Friend list in the meantime, then kick the left bucket closest to the door for 30 Dagols. Enter, and go one door up. In here, kick the green cabinet left of the blackboard for a PANIC POWDER, then exit. Go another flight up to the third floor, and go into this door. Inside, kick the bucket to the left of the first green cabinet for a TOADSTOOL POWDER, then kick the left green cabinet itself for an HERB EXTRACT S. Leave the room, and go to the fourth floor room (Ignore the top floor, as it is basically useless). In here, kick the book next to the blackboard for a FLEXIBILITY LOTION, and then kick the right green cabinet for a MUSTARD POWDER. Leave, go down to the third floor, and take the door leaving the tower. In here, take the central door , which will take you to the President's Office. At the top, kick the chair behind the desk for a MASS OF ENMITY, then go down the right escalator. Take the right-most door on the bottom (for later reference, the bottom-left door goes to the Cafeteria), and go left to the nearby door. In here, kick the bucket in between the green cabinet and blackboard for a COOLING SPRAY, then leave. Go up a floor, and enter the next room. In here, kick the middle table for 50 Dagols, then kick the left green cabinet for another TOADSTOOL POWDER. With this, you've claimed all the items in the Vareth Magic Institute, so go all the way back to the lobby room, and head outside again. Go right into the Path to the Beast Pit. Here, go straight up and kick the garbage can to get a MUSTARD POWDER, then continue on right, going past the lottery stand, until you have made it to the far end. Kick one of the garbage cans here for an EMPTY BOTTLE, then go left a bit, and head up the stairs. In this small side-street, go down to the right, and kick the second of two garbage cans for a MASS OF ENMITY. Continue, and head up the stairs. Up top, take the left doorway and go up and out again. In here, head up the northern door that you immediately see when entering, and in the next area again, head all the way right and go down into Club Vampire. In here, kick the table to your left at the start for a MUD POWDER, then go up to the right and around up the stairs to the second floor. Up here, kick the bucket next to the first couch for 10 Dagols, then hit the cabinet in the upper-left corner for a FLEE BALL. Head back down the stairs, and go left into the next room, a casino room. In here, kick the cabinet right in front of the door frame for a CEMENT POWDER, then head left and kick the bucket in the lower left corner for a TOADSTOOL POWDER. Head up, and kick the dartboard on the wall for a COOLING SPRAY. With that, you've gotten all the items in Radiata City that you can at this point in time. After a while, if you don't go to the Hecton Squad room on your own, you will automatically be returned. Your mission briefing will be given, along with your client, and your destination: the elf lands. Afterwards, Jarvis will join up with you. In this mission's case, you don't need to visit Anastia, the client, first, so once you are given free reign, leave the Theater Vancoor building, and go to Echidna Gate via the Path of Swords and Wisdom and Path of Insanity and Fanaticism. Tria Region ----------- From the Echnida Gate, head left across the bridge, and then continue along the dirt road into the next area. At the start, kick the rock to the north for an ANALYSIS BALL, then continue left along the dirt road. Shortly after you see a patch of trees to the north, continue along while keeping an eye for a rock on the north side. When you do see it, kick it for a FLEE BALL, then continue on left a bit more. When the path comes to a branch, go up north into the next area. This part here is a rather simple straight line going left, albeit littered with enemies. Once you make it to the other side, proceed into the Nowem-Tria Region link. In here, head along the dirt road, go up the stairs, head across the tree bridge, down the stairs, then continue into the Nowem Region. Nowem Region ------------ In the first part of the forest, head left until you see the totem poles. Kick the right-most pole for a MINT DROP, then continue on, kicking the center pole for a CURE DROP, and the last one for a FLEE BALL. When you've done that, continue left through the forest floor until you make it onto the next screen. You should recognize this spot; back when trying to deliver the royal message to the Light Elves, you could not go down to where you just came from, but you COULD go left to the Forest Metropolis. From here, go right, and trace your steps back to the Elf Region. Elf Region ---------- Here, head on over to Genius' house, then continue on downhill to the waterfall that leads into the City of Flowers. From this reference point, continue left until you come to a split. Here, take the upper-left path, and proceed onwards until you get into the next area. A cutscene will start, and then you will have a boss to fight. ============== CROCOGATOR ============== 1020 HP, 95 STR, 93 DEF, 61 EVA, 78 LCK 980 EXP, 5 Dagols, Herb Extract DX Bite (Short Range, 60 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Tail Attack (Long Range, 120 Arc, 1.3 Power, 1.0 Knockback) The trip through the Tria, Nowem, Cuatour and Elf regions should have toughened you up for this fight, along with your new access to the armories in Radiata City. Thanks in part to this, you should be decently equipped with some strong attack and defense. An optional is adding on a Combo attack that can knockdown Crocogator, to keep him from having too much elbow room (Besides which, even when he's been knocked down, he still can be attacked; perfect for abusing a slash/knockdown combo). That said, fighting the Crocogator is pretty simple. The main key here is to wait for Jarvis to take his place, then go to the opposite side of him. Sure, he has his bites and barks, but so long as you stay opposite Jarvis and trade blows back and forth when the Crocogator is occupied with Jarvis, while parrying and counterblowing when the Crocogator is focused on you, you can deal a significant amount of damage. Other than that, it is advisable for you to stay to his sides, as he can bite at you from the front, and kick at you from the back with his hind legs. With that, he should fall quickly enough, netting you the Crocogator's Skin. ============== Afterwards, don't be so quick to go home. Instead, continue north up the path until the road is completely submerged under water, and proceed onwards. When you get to the split, head left. If there is a Crunchy Shell blocking your way, then kick it to initiate it into battle, and afterwards, continue on left and open the chest for an AQUA SPEAR. Head back to the branch now, and go right this time. Once again, if an animal blocks your path, kick it, then continue onto dry land to claim a LUCK BERRY from the chest. Now head back to the branch, and go south back onto the previous room. A cutscene will start, and Jarvis will explain the use of the Journey Pig statues. Afterwards, kick it, go to Lupus Gate, watch the cutscene, and head in through the gates. Radiata City ------------ You may want to save first, but otherwise...back here in town, go to the Olacion Order, and inside, take the left door at the front into the Mortal Tree hallway. Inside, take the right-most door to view the scene with Anastia. You shall either get a randomized amount of 100 Dagols or 10000 Dagols. Afterwards, some more scenes will take place, and Jarvis will automatically take place. At this point, you can now freelance yourself, and take on your own solo missions.\ Sometimes later in the future, you will also get a cutscene on Ganz. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Anastia ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A MASTERPIECE OF FANTASY AMPF ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "I need someone to go to Earth Valley to pick up some weapons. Wanted: Someone who will handle these weapons with great care. Pay: 2000 Dagols" -Warc After accepting the job, leave Theater Vancoor and head to Warc's armory, which is in fact the store right to the left of the Theater Vancoor building. Inside, watch the cutscene, and Warc will give you details on where to go. Exit out to Lupus gate, and use the Journey Pig statue to teleport to Earth Valley. Enter Earth Valley. Earth Valley ------------ After your cutscene when you get inside, head over to in front of Gonovitch's house, and go down the first stairs right south of it. Down ONLY the first set of stairs, head right and go into the first house to receive the first collection of weapons aka DWARF PARCEL. After that, head into the second house to receive the second DWARF PARCEL, then go down the stairs to the third house for the last DWARF PARCEL. Once done, leave Earth Valley, and go back to Warc in Radiata City. He'll give you your due payment, thus ending the easiest mission in the game (and only one of two that don't require any fighting). Head back to Theater Vancoor and collect your 2000 Dagols from Thanos. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BEASTS BY THE BRIDGE BBTB ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Get rid of the beasts by the bridge construction site so we can do our job! The bridge ain't building itself! Pay: 3000 Dagols" -Elef After accepting the mission, head outside, and go left out through Lupus Gate into the Adien region. Adien Region ------------ From the start (past the Lupus gate area), head left until you get to a three-way split with a sign nearby. Here, go south and left as the view changes, then head north going down the hilly path, then counterclockwise around into the next area. Here, you will run into a cutscene, after which you will have a boss fight. ======================= KING SERPENT, TRENT ======================= King Serpent 1000 HP, 163 STR, 82 DEF, 90 EVA, 121 LCK 956 EXP, 432 Dagols, Strength Berry Bite (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.3 Knockback, 100% Knockback) Trent (x4) 302 HP, 117 EXP, Earth Element, Special: HP Heal This battle may be slightly difficult depending on how leveled up you are for this time of the game. Regardless of your level, the main thing that you should do at the start is hunt down each Trent and kill them personally one-by-one. Don't be afraid to use Volties if you are using a Spear or 1-Handed Sword to kill them quickly. Once you've felled the Trent, turn your attentions to the King Serpent. Assign one of your characters, if s/he can do so, to Heal your fighters as it is needed, then assault it from all sides. Because the King Serpent can only bite you at the front, if it turns towards you, run around it in circles to dodge it is attack. Again, if you are using a Spear or 1-Handed Sword, use a Volty; being able to cause upwards of 200 damage or more can save you a lot of trouble. ======================= Afterwards, watch the cutscene, then head back to Radiata City. Collect your 3000 Dagols from Thanos at Theater Vancoor. Checklist --------- [ ] Talk to Elef at the Dorse Region - Adien Region bridge, accept his blueprint mission, go to the Peacful Pony Inn and talk to Virginia, and go back to Elef and give him his blueprints. You need to have gotten your pay for the Beasts By the Bridge mission first and come back at least one day later. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SMILODON FANG SMDF ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Brave warrior needed to gather smilodon fangs. Needed to make panacea. Come to Olacion for further detals. Pay: 500 Dagols x no. of fangs" -Dwight After taking the job, go to the Olacion Order. Much like Anastia before him, head left in the main room to the Mortal Tree Hallway. In here, however, take the second-from-the-right door, and watch the cutscene. Afterwards, leave Radiata City through Lupus Gate, and go to the Adien region. Adien Region ------------ Start walking all the way to Nuevo Village, and when you get there, continue left out of the village onto the next screen. In here, go left down the road, then head north across the shed. On the next dirt path going south, take it into the Adien-Ocho Region link. From the start of this room, head left, going up the stairs, then continue left across the tree-bridge. Go down the stairs at the end, and go into the Ocho Region. Ocho Region ----------- At any time, if you encounter a Smilodon, fight it to obtain a Smilodon Fang. You CAN do this; however, you will likely wish to restrain yourself from doing so, as the Smilodon will probably have taken a decent chunk of HP out of you (not to mention that the Ocho region is fairly treacherous to traverse). Also, you need to have a character with the "Steal" Skill, and at this point in time, most of the characters you might have recruited that have this ability will be fairly useless at it. Afterwards, you can leave back to go talk to Dwight; I shall be merely providing a walkthrough on what to get in the Ocho Region from here on in. Head west down the path until you see two rocks sitting on the ground in front of a gnarled tree in the background. Once you get here, kick the right rock for an HERB EXTRACT S. Once you make it to the split, however, go down to the left, and kick the nearby branch to the upper-left side for a MASS OF ENMITY. Now continue a hard left again until you come to another branch; go south and left from here, and kick the first rock you see for a HEATING TABLET. Now go back to the first branch in this area, and head right to go into the second part of the Ocho Region. Here, head sharp to the right. When you first see a rock to the north, kick it for a RECOVERY PILL, then continue on right until you get to the end. Kick it open for a LIFE BERRY. Now head back a room, and go left until you get to the second split, where you haven't gone north yet. This time, go north into the next room. In here, go left, and when you see the first pair of rocks to the north, kick the right one to obtain a CURE DROP. Continue on some more, and look out for some rocks to the south. Ignore the first one, but kick the second one for a SNOW POWDER. With all this done, head back to Radiata City, and go and talk to Dwight to collect your 1000 (x the number of Smilodon Fangs that you obtained) Dagols directly there. Head off home now. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Dwight [ ] Recruit Grant ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MS. SHIELA MSSH ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Once you've finished all three solo missions, you have a perfectly free slate, so long as you do not go home in between 7 am and 12 am (midnight). As such, you can do whatever you want until you desire to so advance the story, and then go home between 7am and 12 am (midnight). you will activate a scene. After the first scene is over and you are in Vancoor Square, head straight north from the fountain to the one door (don't worry, you do not need to save). Knock on the door and activate the next few scenes. Once the scene is over, if it is anywhere in-bewteen 8 am and 12 pm, go to the Hecton Squad room in Theater Vancoor; else, wait until the next day and go during that time. Inside, you will have a scene, after which you will have a battle with Jarvis. Not sure if this is optional or not, but with your two missions involving fighting, you should have no problem winning and seeing the next scene. At this point, you have two options. You can either go talk to Thanos and do "Vexatious Vermin", or wait until the next day, and do the mandatory "Royal Guardians", also by talking to Thanos (and of course, you can take forever so long as you don't talk to Thanos). Checklist --------- Before doing "Royal Guardians", some things to keep in mind... [ ] Have you done all your solo missions yet, so as to not miss Thanos, and as a result, Elwen and Nyx? (Human) [ ] Have you decided which side you are going to take yet so as to use party members mainly from that side? [ ] Have you done the "Smilodon Fang" mission so as to recruit Elena and Adina later on? (Human) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ROYAL GUARDIANS RYGR ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The day after the incident with Ms. Shiela, go and talk to Thanos. After the first two cutscenes, your party will disband as Jarvis and Daniel join up. Watch the next few scenes, and when you are finally given manual control, run downhilll along the street. In the next area, watch another scene, then go left and down into the Path of Insanity and Fanaticism. In here, head right, then enter the tower-like house in the middle. Inside, use the Blue Flag and recovery point, then enter. In here, go up the staircase, and at the top, pull down the lever at the northern part of the room. Head down onto the base floor, then go down the new staircase into the basement, where after a scene, you will have a fight. ================== ELMO & JOAQUEL ================== Elmo: 360 HP, 80 STR, 60 DEF, 87 EVA, 41 LCK 101 EXP, 206 Dagols Moves: Cutting Knives (Fire, Short Range, 90 Arc, 0.8 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Thrust (Fire, Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Joaquel: 557 HP, 126 STR, 52 DEF, 2 EVA, 32 LCK 434 EXP, 35 Dagols Moves: Joaquel Attack (Medium Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Steal (Short Range, 60 Arc, 0.2 Power) Somewhat like the Blood Orc battle from oh-so-long ago, this battle is divided into two segments. The first segment is around a half minute, and the enemies will NOT take any actual damage; for now, just keep yourself away from them until the elapsed time period is up. Afterwards, Daniel will be knocked out of the battle. Afterwards, focus your effort on Elmo, who is physically the weaker of the two. If you have a Spear, it is especially easier to fight him, as he may try to run around sometimes; you can attack him from a longer distance and recover easier should he try to evade, and your Volty Blast can hit him multiple times, felling him with only a few Volties. With Elmo out of the way, turn your attention to Joaquel, whom is now guaranteed to be hit by both you and Jarvis. Pummel him from both sides and distract him at key moments when he looks ready to hit Jarvis, but keep away from him if you let him initiate his first attack; you don't want to lose any items. Nevertheless, he isn't too difficult to fight. ================== Path of the Spider ------------------ Afterwards, when placed in the next room, save your game and heal up at the blue restoration point. Head right from here, going along the path until you see a pathway going into the inner parts of the sewer, and go up to take it. In the next room, continue on right and climb up the ladder, then proceed to the cage wall and go into the next room. In here, head down one path to the right while sticking to the outside to make sure that you don't accidentally encounter the 'gator (as it may be a tough fight for you at this point in time, depending on your previous encounter with a Crocogator), and go through the door opposite the previous one. In here, continue on right into another four-corners room. From your corner, go down to the left a door. In here, head left all the way down to the end, and climb down the ladder. Continue left and kick the chest open for a KNIGHT SABER. Now head back to the four-corners room. From the corner that you just came out of (ie. the one with the Knight Saber), go to the corner diagonally opposite of you (so go left or right twice), and take the door there. Inside, continue on left a door (take the steel door to the north), and when you get into the next room, head right only until you see the circular hole in the wall to the north; take that one into the next room. Here, go right along the sewer until you come to a ladder, then climb up. Watch the ensuing cutscenes. Afterwards, Gerald will also teach you on the tactics of Links, so listen carefully. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A VISITOR FOR APHELION AVFA ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Pre-Mission Checklist --------------------- [ ] Go and recruit Jarvis and Giske. Do you dare challenge my golem to a battle? Pay: 8000 Dagols" -Ursula After you accept the mission and talk to Thanos, go up to the fourth floor of Theater Vancoor and into Elwen's room. She'll convince you to take over the mission for her. Once that is done, leave the building, and head to the Echidna Gate, to the left of the Blue Town of Water and Wisdom. Watch the scene, and then you will have a battle. =========== MELISSA =========== 3200 HP, 178 STR, 134 DEF, 137 EVA, 109 LCK 3030 EXP, Evasion Berry Bomb (Fire, Long Range, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Hits for damage 6x) Vertical Punch (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Hip Press (Short Range, 360 Arc, 1.2 Power, 1.3 Knockback, Knocks Back) Fog of Pollution (Mid Range, Hits for damage 4x, 2.0 Confuse, Blind, or Poison) Don't let the high amount of HP and big stats intimidate you. The only thing that you need come into this battle with is the Status Cure skill (Flora, Lulu, or Morfinn being the only ones you can get it off at this point in time), some Herb Extract S's, a Spear, and (preferably) a mostly-full Volty Gauge. The other thing that you should have is some patience, as toppling Melissa may take some time. Her first attack will be for her to stop, straighten out, and then throw a bomb out in front of her. Thankfully, this happens at a slow pace, giving you a good amount of time to run away from it. The second attack will occur when you get right in front of her, giving her too much time, as she will punch the ground in front of where she stands (aka. on you). Attack number three is something more of a worry, as Melissa, regardless of where Jack is around her, will jump up into the air, and then crash down on the ground, creating a shockwave. If you see her jumping up, BACK AWAY. The shockwave doesn't have that much potential hit area, but it can hurt, and will knock you off balance. The last attack is the thing that can end your game. Melissa will pause for a brief moment, then breath out a fog straight in front of her which can poison, blind, or confuse you. While the former two can be healed quickly, it is the latter that is worrisome, especially if you don't have Status Cure; without a firm control of where you want to go, you may walk right into Melissa's war-path and die. As such, always make sure that you are well healed. However, let it be said now; Melissa is SLOW and DUMB. You could literally walk up to her, attack her back, and she'll turn around to you, then turn back. Do this repeatedly while fighting her (Use a Volty if you want to quicken the battle), and when she turns around and stays around, run around her until she stops paying attention to you and hit her back again. If she decides to attack you, on the other hand, get out of her way. A spear can be especially useful in this battle, as it gives you the extra range needed. The most damning thing about this is that every so often, after you deal enough damage to Melissa, she'll stumble onto the ground. When this happens, get to her, nail her with a few attacks, then finish off with a Volty before she can completely get up. After a while, the damage alone will kill her. =========== After your conversation with Ursula continues, head back to the guild, and talk to Thanos to get your pay. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ GERALD'S LETTER GRLT ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This is an event that can only be done after doing the "The Ultimate Battle" mission, and must be done before the "Birthday Party" event. It is perhaps the only event in the game that does not automatically unfold itself, but must be manually done. It is IMPERATIVE THAT YOU COMPLETE THIS if going to the HUMAN SIDE, because without it, you cannot recruit Gerald (and Nocturne), and without Gerald, you cannot recruit Elwen, and without Elwen, you cannot recruit Nyx. The latter two are two of the best characters in the game, and it can all be missed simply by not doing this in the short span of time you have. Now that my rant is over, I guess we should get onto the actual event. After finishing "The Ultimate Battle" (remember to talk to Thanos afterwards), head off to Club Vampire. Here, Nocturne will give you NOCTURNE'S LETTER. Go back to Theater Vancoor, and head up to the third floor, door to the left of the stairs. After this cutscene, continue on back to Club Vampire, then backtrack to Theater Vancoor once more, and go to Elwen's room. After talking to Elwen, you will learn the background of Gerald and Nocturne. Proceed to Faulcon Gate once given some free control, and the rest of the event will occur. Checklist --------- [ ] Talk to Gerald and beat him to recruit him. [ ] Talk to Nocturne with Gerald in your party. Beat Nocturne to recruit him. [ ] Recruit Joaquel. [ ] Recruit Elmo. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ VEXATIOUS VERMIN VXVM ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Rid the cafeteria of rats so the students can eat lunch in a sanitary environment. Pay: 3000 Dagols" -Vareth Institute After accepting the mission, head off to the Vareth Institute, which is the big building in the Blue Town of Water and Wisdom. Inside, talk to the secretary at the front desk. A few cutscenes later, choose someone for Daniel to replace (preferably one of your warriors; you WILL want a healer in this battle), and then you will have your fight. The first battle will be against a pack of Pararats/Militarats. The second battle will be an all-out fest against all three types of rats (although only one Tawny Rat will be present). ================================= TAWNY RAT, PARARAT, MILITARAT ================================= Tawny Rat: 1288 HP, 93 STR, 79 DEF, 133 EVA, 99 LCK 1540 EXP, 2477 Dagols, Evasion Berry, Book of Recovery Moves: Bite (Short Range) Poison Spit (Long Range 2.0 Poison) Confuse Gas (Confuse 2.0) Mouse Call (Summons Militarat or Pararat) Pararat 34 HP, 34 EXP, Special: Paralyze Militarat 42 HP, 45 EXP You should start out by eliminating all the small-time rodents so that they don't get in your way. Once they're dead, focus your attention on the Tawny Rat himself, and keep hacking and slashing at him. Of course, it is not quite that simple. While all he can physically do to you is Bite at you, he can still inflict Poison and Confuse on you, which can be quite a pain to react to. As such, bring in a Healer who can also heal status effects (Romaria, Flora, etc.). Secondly, because of this, you may also want to abstain from bringing in three fighters, as it could get bloody when you are confused. Instead, bring in a magician to complement Jack and Daniel; s/he will also stay out of harm's way, bringing the warrior count down to two. With that done, pound at the Tawny Rat, and don't bother to pull back when you get a negative status inflicted on you; your healer should be able to take care of that. Instead, continue to attack, diverting your attention only to deal with any other rodents the Tawny Rat brings in through Mouse Call. ================================= Afterwards, some more cutscenes. Unfortunately, you only get 1500 Dagols out of the original 3000 Dagols deal, but oh well. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Elena [ ] Recruit Adina ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CREATURES OF THE SEWER COTS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Strange moaning can be heard from the sewers lately. Please investigate this for the safety of the citizens. Pay: 5000 Dagols" -Unknown After taking the mission, head down to the second basement floor of Theater Vancoor, and head through the right door into the cell area. In here, go into the fifth cell, and go down the ladder into the sewers. Path of the Spider ------------------ From the spot that you come out of, head right 'till you get across the wooden planks, and head up through the cage door. On the other side, continue left for a short bit, and head north through the cage door again. Inside the next room, make your way left, and continue on left until you go up the stairs and through the steel door. In here, proceed on the path until you get to the waterfall, and then take the northeastern door. After the cutscene is over, continue past Tony whom is fishing in here to the right end of the hallway, and go through the door in here. Head right from the entrance into the next room, where you will fight the Mud Ponbabar automatically. ========================== MUD PONBABAR, MUD PAWN ========================== Mud Ponbabar: 3150 HP, 158 STR, 128 DEF, 86 EVA, 193 LCK 4801 EXP, Luck Berry, Rune Saber Moves: Tentacle Beat (Long Range, 30 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Gray Mud Mucus (Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.4 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Hits for damage 17x, Poison 1.0) Brown Mud Mucus (Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.6 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Hits for damage 17x) Empty Can Vomit (Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.4 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Hits for damage 17x, Confuse 2.0) Gear Vomit (Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.4 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Hits for damage 17x) Poisonous Fog (Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.6 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Hits for damage 9x, Poison 1.0) Multiplication (Summons Mud Pawn) Mud Pawn 190 HP, 67 EXP, Water Element, Special: Paralyze Obviously, you will have a difficult battle if you didn't come prepared. Make sure you have a healer whom can heal status inflictions in addition to regular healing, as the Mud Ponbabar can and will inflict negative status effects on your party members in the form of purple spheres that he spits out of his mouth (or else just a poisonous fog, much like Melissa's Fog of Pollution). Furthermore, you may want to back your arsenal up with two Mages, so Jack is the only one who's fighting head on; if you get confused, you can just abstain from fighting until you are able again. A two-handed sword or spear is recommended for bringing into this battle. Start off by hunting down the individual Mud Pawns first, and take each one of them out to make sure they cannot bother you later on. With their deaths established, turn your attention to the Mud Ponbabar, and hack and slash at it to keep it away from your mages and priest. If it turns around to face you (you can see it in it is eye movements), then run around it until it gets bored, then continue to hack at it, using the occasional Volty if you feel you have the time to deal several hits in only a couple of seconds. In the chance that you do get hit by one of Mud Ponbabar's attacks, just continue unless you are really low on HP or you've been confused. In that case, back away and wait for some help from your priest, then throw yourself back into the ring. Whenever the Mud Ponbabar uses his Multiplication attack to summon more Mud Pawns onto the battlefield, turn away quickly and kill them, then turn back. Repeat this simple strategy until you win. ========================== Afterwards, backtrack to Theater Vancoor to go and talk to Thanos. If you see Tony, however, stop and talk to him; he'll automatically join you now that the Mud Ponbabar is gone. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Tony ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ TREASURE OF GOBLIN CEMETERY TOGC ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Rumor has it that valuable treasure is hidden in the goblin cemetery. you will get it for me, right? Pay: 3000 Dagols" -Me, the Great After you find out the client from Thanos, head to the Vareth Magic Institute. Having done the Vexatious Vermin mission a short while back, you shouldn't have any trouble finding it. Inside, head down the lower-right corner, and on the second floor, take the lower-right corner again into the Library. In here, go left and head up the staircase. At the top, go and examine the right bookcase to find the book you are looking for. Once done, leave the Institute, then leave Radiata City into the Adien Region by way of Lupus Gate. Adien Region ------------ Out here, head left across the gate and bridge and dirt road into the actual Adien region, then continue left on the next screen until you come to the fork in the road. Here, head south (and, as the camera rotates, left), then go north and left down the hill when the opportunity presents itself, and continue up the hill. In the Dorse-Adien Region link, continue heading left, and go up the stairs, across the bridge, down the stairs, and into the Dorse Region. Dorse Region ------------ In here, head left a bit, and then you will be ambushed by the Gob- Aesop-Monki trio again, who'll force you into another fight with them. Don't worry; they don't have any new tricks, and all they are is a somewhat beefed-up version of the trio you fought all the way back while still in the Radiata Knights. After you win, if you want to recruit them, choose the "Let Them Go" option (they don't really give off a good EXP pool anyways, so you might as well for the time being). After the fight, head north at the split up the road, and at the end, kick open the chest for a MYSTERY BERRY. Head back to the split, go left to find another fork, and go downhill in a clockwise motion. Keep an eye to the south of your path for loose rocks, and kick the first one you see for a FLEE BALL. Now continue until you come to the Journey Pig Statue. Activate it, and, if you want to, go inside the cave to the goblin town. Afterwards, head back uphill, and go straight left. Along the ways, you might see something gold crawling on one of the rocks. DO _NOT_ KICK IT. This is a Dagol Tortoise, which, if beat, gives you 8888 Dagols. While that sounds like something you should do right now, wait; it also has a very low chance of dropping an item known as the VIP Badge that drops the price of items in a store. So wait until you can save first and get some thieves on your team to fight it. Now that that rant is over, continue left until you come to a split where you can go down to the left or uphill. Here, kick the rock near the cliff for an EMPTY BOTTLE, then go uphill. Kick the first rock you see while going up for 550 Dagols, then continue up and right until you find another rock. Kick this one for an HERB EXTRACT S, then proceed right some more and kick the chest at the end for an INVINCIBILITY MED. Afterwards, head back to the last split, and this time, go down to the left into the next part of the Dorse Region. In this area, pursue your destination until you come to yet another split. Take the upper left path once you get here, and follow it down to the end, where you shall find a LIFE BERRY in a chest. Go back a room, and here, head down to the left into the next room. Here, go left, and when you get to the last split of the Dorse Region, go down to the left to the end. you will end up fighting another King Serpent whom is aided by some Pointura. However, unlike the last time you fought a King Serpent (in the mission "Beasts by the Bridge"), you should have a much stronger party, and a much easier time as a result. You should also win a Strength Berry as a result. After you win, open the chest to obtain a RAINBOW CRYSTAL. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT SELL THIS ITEM. If you are going to choose the Non-Human Side, it must be had to recruit a certain character. After you obtain it, head back a bit, and go up to the left. In here, just proceed left until you get to the door, at which point you will have some dialogue. Afterwards, climb down the ladder inside. Goblin Cemetery --------------- Once you enter the cemetery, start making your way left into the next room. In here, go up and left through the doorway. In the next room, head left all the way down the hallway to the opposite end, and once you come into the large room, go to the southern corner and open the chest for a LIFE BERRY. Head back up, and take the left door into the next room here. In this hallway, head left all the way into the next large room. Go to the left-most corner in here to kick the chest open for an HERB EXTRACT MAX, then take the left door. Continue down the hallway to the opposite end, and on the other side, head up and go left into another door. Continue down the hallway here into the next room. you will have an automatic cutscene, and then a fight. ============================== GOBBLEHOPE IX, BONE GOBLIN ============================== Gobblehope IX: 1650 HP, 151 STR, 50 DEF, 255 EVA, 123 LCK 650 EXP, 10 Dagols, Flee Ball, Mystery Berry Moves: Lightning Bolt (Wind, Mid Range, 1.5 Power) Goblin Resurrection (Summons Bone Goblin) Fade (Teleports across Room) Bone Goblin: 202 HP, 75 EXP, 42 Dagols Initially, you should dispatch all the Bone Goblins in the room. While Gobblehope IX can summon an infinite amount of reinforcements, your allies can take care of his surplus; for now, all you want to do is eliminate the thorn in your side to a small trickle. After you've destroyed the Bone Goblin force, turn your attention to Gobblehope IX himself. Due to his being a ghost, he has the special ability to teleport around the room; this means that you will often get a couple of hits in on him before you have to turn around, look for him, run towards him, and then continue striking him. As such, you may want to start the battle off with a Volty Blast against Gobblehope, then slowly level up your Volty Gauge, climaxing with a few quick hits, and if it calls for it, another Volty Blast. Either way, Gobblehope IX isn't too hard, so long as you have a healer on hand. ============================== After the battle and cutscene, head left and kick the left chest for the RECRUITMENT SUIT. After Jack's dialogue goes through, kick the other chest for a CELESTIAL NECTAR, then head right and north and kick the chest up here for 3000 Dagols. Go down to the right and kick the last chest in the corner for an UMBRELLA. Backtrack out of the Cemetery, and go back to Radiata City, talking to Thanos to obtain your pay (you will not have to hand over the Recruitment Suit). ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ GONOVITCH'S DILEMMA GVDL ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Monsters are raiding the mines and we can not mine for ore. Please get rid of them immediately. Pay: 4000 Dagols" -Gonovitch Pre-Mission Checklist --------------------- [ ] Did you remember to talk to Gregory, get his request for Dwarf Liquor, and obtain it from Earth Valley? After talking to Thanos, leave, and go to Earth Valley. Earth Valley ------------ In here, head down the stairs and go left to Gonovitch's house, which, if you cannot remember from the last time you had to come here, is the yellow house thick in the center of Earth Valley. In here, head up to the second floor to receive your briefing. Once you are dropped outside again, head down the first set of stairs in front of Gonovitch's house, then go right all the way, go down two more sets of stairs, then head across the bridge. Enter Dwarf Tunnel Two. Dwarf Tunnel Two ---------------- Here, head left from the start of the cave and go down the elevator. Once one floor down, continue left into the next room. In here, kick the chest that you should see quickly for a CLEANSING STONE. Now, despite there being two paths here to take, they both end up in the same room, and neither of them have any items that you can obtain on the way. As such, take the left door. In here, go all the way left to the elevator (if it isn't there, wait for it to come up), then go down. On the ground floor, continue left into the next room, which is a fairly open area. In here, head up and left past the beds and the glowing rock to a chest with a SAGE in it, then continue on left into another hallway. At the end of the hallway, continue through the door. you will have a cutscene, after which you will face the bosses of this dungeon; the Rockdiggers. =============== ROCKDIGGERS =============== 1425 HP, 119 STR, 60 DEF, 116 EVA, 92 LCK 1256 HP, 619 Dagols, Life Berry Bite Attack (Mid Range, 60 Arc, 1.2 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Spin Attack (Long Range, 360 Arc, 0.9 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Knocks Back) For this battle, you will either want a magic user, a healer, and a fighter to aid Jack, or else two magic users and a fighter that can double as a healer/healer that can double as a fighter. you will see why in just a moment. The two Rockdiggers are basically Crocogators as far as their shape and how they fall down go. This also means that they would basically be beefed-up Crocogators, except for one thing; their spin attack. This is the bane of many people, which can haunt their dreams at night. The Rockdigger in question will spin around a number of times, knocking anyone in it is path out of the way. And it does it a good number of times. Because of this (and the fact that it WILL interrupt your attack with it is Knock Back power), you only want to have two fighters, including Jack. Sic your other fighter on one Rockdigger, then follow up attacking the second Rockdigger with Jack to distract both of them from your Mages/Mage + Healer, whom should pelt one Rockdigger at a time and heal as necessary. With the death of the first Rockdigger (use a Volty Blast if you can, as it WILL end the battle much quicker), killing the second Rockdigger should be much easier, so do so with haste. =============== Afterwards, backtrack your way to the surface, and go and talk to Gonovitch on the second floor of his house. Head back to Theater Vancoor and talk to Thanos to receive your reward. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BIRTHDAY PARTY BRPR ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ WARNING: Once you do this event, you will miss out on doing "Gerald's Letter" if you haven't already done it. You will be forced into doing it if you return to your house two days after "A Visitor for Aphelion". To delay time out, ALWAYS return to your house between 12am and 7am to save your game. This will stop the event from occurring. You can also sleep if you return between 12am and 7am, so long as you don't exit and reenter after you finish sleeping. Once the event occurs, you will get a cutscene in Jack's House, after which you will receive RIDLEY'S INVITATION. One cutscene later, head across the room and talk to Leonard. Inside the castle, head all the way right to the back set of doors, and make your way up all the staircases until you get to the sixth floor, where the ballroom is. After the cutscenes are over, wait until 3 pm (or go to sleep), wandering around in the meantime, and another cutscene will occur. Afterwards, you have as much free time as you want until you go to do the "Stone of Miracles" mission. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Elmo (Only if you didn't do "Gerald's Letter") [ ] Recruit Joaquel (Only if you didn't do "Gerald's Letter") ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ STONE OF MIRACLES STOM ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "After years of research, we have finally located the stone of miracles and would like someone to get it. See Kain at Olacion for further details. Pay: 10000 Dagols" -Kain Once you've accepted the job, head off to the Olacion Order shrine. Inside, you will automatically have a cutscene, where Kain will brief you on what to do. After you do, go out of Radiata City to the Adien Region, by way of Lupus Gate. Adien Region ------------ From Lupus Gate, head left one screen into the actual Adien Region. Here, head left along the path until you get to the split, continue on left until you get into Nuevo Village. In here, proceed through town until you get to the opposite end, and out in the wildness once more, go left across the bridge. When you come to the split, head left some more into the Adien-Septem Region link. In here, head left up and across the bridge, then down and into the Septem Region. Septem Region ------------- In here, go left until you see a split. When you do, continue left. When you see a hole in the small mountain, continue going left. When you come to another split, stay in the same direction (left) until you come to a myriad of small houses. Here, kick the rock to the right of the first house for a MUSTARD POWDER, then kick the pighead in front of the right-most house for an ANALYSIS BALL. Next, go to the left most house and kick the pighead here for a POINTURA'S THREAD. Now for the moment you've been waiting for; kick open the chest to obtain a BOOK OF FAIRIES. DO _NOT_ SELL THIS ITEM. If you want to recruit some of the most powerful warriors on the Human Side (Elwen, Nyx), then you MUST hold onto this to give it to Aldo. Heck, go back now and talk to him to recruit him so you don't accidentally sell this. If it is between 7:15 am and 10am or 5:25pm and 10pm, talk to Garcia, whom should be leaning against the tree to the right of the houses, until he talks about "Bran and Wal". Otherwise, walk around until the time comes, and then talk to him again. This'll allow you to recruit some people later on. After you've talked to him, head right from Septem Village until you come to the hole in the mountain, then go straight up into it to enter Septem Cave. Septem Cave ----------- From the start of the cave, head left into the next room. In here, go left down the hill, until you come to a split. From head, head down to the left to a chest at the end which contains a THIEF BANGLE. Go back up to the split, and then head up to the left. Go around the loops until you come to an Iceburg attacking Bran and Wal (only if you talked to Garcia beforehand). Kill it, and Bran and Wal will leave. After the scene, continue left onto the next screen. Coming in, head left along the entire room, as you go straight left, then go left downhill, then continue along with the flow of the water going, until you get into the next room. Here, head up to the left 'till you see a path going up, and take it to a chest. Kick it for a LIFE BERRY, then head back down and go left all the way into the next area. you will have a cutscene, and after that, a battle. =========================== TRAP OCTOPUS, TENTACLES =========================== Trap Octopus: 3065 HP, 118 STR, 152 DEF, 61 EVA, 124 LCK 4800 EXP, 3260 Dagols, Strength Berry, Leviathan Moves: Black Ink Breath (Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.7 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Hits for Damage 3x, 1.5 Blind) Tentacles: 388 HP, 108 STR, 17 DEF, 195 EVA, 165 LCK 38 Dagols Moves: Tentacle Thrash (Long Range, 30 Arc, 1.2 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Tentacle Payback (Long Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.3 Knockback) Tentacle Uppercut (Long Range, 30 Arc, 0.9 Power, 1.0 Knockback, the tentacle lurches forward to attack) Rock Drop (Long Range, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Breaks through Parry) I'll say this now; the Tentacles WILL grow back, every one of them, and killing all of them at once before any one can grow back will not keep them from growing back. They will grow back, until you finally defeat the Trap Octopus. That said, the Trap Octopus itself will be for much of the battle under the water with his shell protecting him, and will only emerge abovewater after two or three tentacles have been killed. He will subsequently submerge after he has enough tentacles regrown. As such, only focus on four of his total six Tentacles, killing them as the need arises (aka. when Trap Octopus goes under water). When Trap Octopus comes up, attack him quickly, but DON'T use a Volty Blast if it attacks multiple times (as is the case with Spears and One-Handed Swords); stick to using a Two-Handed Sword in this battle if you must use a Volty Blast. Otherwise, just use plain Volties against him to quickly cause damage to him, while dodging his Ink attack, until he goes back under water again. At this point in time, stay back if you need to due to HP or having been Blinded until you can get yourself healed, and make sure that you keep an eye on your other team-mates; they'll be especially pivotal in this battle, what with the tentacles regrowing back quickly. =========================== After, you will obtain the STONE OF MIRACLES. From where you are, continue heading left through the room, and go through the exit at the end. In here, go right, and jump off the cliff to the floor below. Head right from where you land, and go uphill on the way as you head into the next room. Coming into this next room, head right some more, until you see a small path heading north deeper into the cavern. Ignore it, as it has no functional purpose, and you cannot get the one chest that you see. Outside, head right onto the next screen, and from here, backtrack to the Olacion Order. Many subsequent cutscenes will occur. Afterwards, go back to see Thanos. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Bran [ ] Recruit Garcia [ ] Recruit Wal ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ TOP SECRET MISSION TSMS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Sir Jack, we have heard of your strength and would like to hire you for a job. Please come alone to hear about this top-secret mission. Pay: 20000 Dagols" -Unknown After getting your warning from Thanos, leave, and head to Faucon Gate (in the Black Town of Night and Lust). However, instead of getting a mission, you will be ambushed by a number of Burglars. ============ BURGLARS ============ 401 HP, 125 STR, 109 DEF, 162 EVA, 22 LCK 668 EXP, 113 Dagols, Cure Needle Slash (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Knife Throw (Long Range, 0.9 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Rob (Short Range, 60 Arc, 0.2 Power, 2.0 Steal) Para-Chemical Throw (Long Range, 0.3 Power, 0.5 Knockback, 1.0 Paralyze) it is a one-against-five battle for Jack, so you need to come into this battle well-prepared and healed up. If you want to, equip the Prevent Paralyze skill if you have it; otherwise, equip on something useful that can aid you. Target one Burglar at a time, and don't be hesitant to use Volties (in fact, you may want to use an Axe as a result in this battle; using it can hit for field area damage, which will be helpful for knocking down several enemies at once. Other than that, there's not too much to say besides the regular "keep your health up and kill all the enemies" tangent that is rather obvious. ============ After the battle, some more scenes will occur, so take a watch. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THE EARTH DRAGON TEDR ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Once you go into this event, there is no turning back, and the story will advance quickly through to the split. General opinion is split over this, but it appears that if you want to dodge this event as long as you can, you have free reign of going into Jack's House whenever you want to, SO LONG AS YOU DON'T GO TO SLEEP. However, I would advocate not to risk it, and continue to go in between 12am and 7am to save. After the first scene at Jack's House occurs, walk your way to Earth Valley by taking the road straight on from the gate you are dropped off at. After you make it most of the way to Earth Valley, you will get another cutscene. Once it is done, walk down to Earth Valley to kick the Journey Pig statue, and go to Radiata City. You have one more mission you can take before the Split. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BUILD THAT BODY BLTB ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "We are looking for someone to battle against in order to test the progress of our training. Wanted: A strong warrior. Pay: Paid Accordingly" -Achilles After you take the job, go to Olacion Order. Before you enter the actual Shrine, I recommend you equip a Two-Handed Sword or Spear that can Paralyze, Freeze, or Petrify. This should mainly be either a Rune Saber, Leviathan, or Brionac, of which the former two are likely to be better for use. If you are running at a low level for this time of the game, also equip a move that can knock your opponents off their feet. Inside the shrine, you will have a cutscene, after which you will face off against the monks in four straight battles. You shall fight each person one at a time, in the order they are presented below. ========= VITAS ========= 426 HP, 106 STR, 83 DEF, 105 EVA, 98 LCK 208 EXP, 267 Dagols, Cement Powder Right Hook (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Pinnacle Punt (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.2 Power, 0.6 Knockback) Power Upper (Increases strength) Vitas should be a lightweight first battle, but she may use Power Upper at the start of the battle, so don't take her too lightly. Instead, parry her attack and then counterblow her as hard as you can until she finally either falls back/retreats, or comes to attack you again (in which case you should parry + counterblow once more). After a while of doing this, she should fall without too much trouble. ========= ========= ALVIN ========= 511 HP, 130 STR, 123 DEF, 65 EVA, 118 LCK 311 EXP, 274 Dagols, Herb Extract Left Straight (Short Range, 40 Arc, 0.8 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Twist Hook (Short Range, 90 Arc, 0.9 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Upper Strike (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.6 Knockback, Knocks Back) Palm of Energy (Some sort of energy wave?) Watch out for Alvin, as he's physically the strongest of the first three Monks that you can use, and he can knock you off balance. I recommend letting him hit you only once, and then counterblowing his ass to oblivion and back. A weapon that can inflict a status effect on him is particularly useful here - if you don't have one, then use an item such as a Startle Powder or Mud Powder to freeze him in his tracks, then use a Volty on him. ========= =========== MIRANDA =========== 506 HP, 125 STR, 113 DEF, 118 EVA, 124 LCK 741 EXP, 261 Dagols, Moon Stone Chip Jab (Short Range, 40 Arc, 0.7 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Right High Kick (Short Range, 90 Arc, 0.9 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Palm of Power (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.3 Knockback) Purified Tears SE (Cures any status infliction) Moonlit Heal SE (Heals Miranda) In Miranda's case, I recommend that you don't stand by and wait for her to attack. Instead, press the offensive, and hit her with a status effect that stops her from doing anything - poisoning her will only allow her to use Purified Tears SE. Also, follow up with an attack that knocks her off balance, if need be, or else use a Volty; you do NOT want her to use Moonlit Heal SE, or it may undo all the work you've done in damaging her. =========== ============ ACHILLES ============ 1406 HP, 168 STR, 145 DEF, 91 EVA, 155 LCK 434 EXP, 312 Dagols, Heating Tablets Jab (Short Range, 40 Arc, 0.7 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Body Blow (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Low Kick (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.3 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Achilles will be somewhat of a titan if you are underleveled for this part of the game. Parry off his attacks and counterblow when you can, especially using attacks that can knock him off his feet. If you get the opportunity to use a Powder on him (or else your weapon does it for you) - use it. After that, attack him, and use your Volties to end off with some extra damage. Especially heal when necessary, and after a while, he'll fall. ============ After you win all these battles, go back to Thanos to receive your pay - 2000 Dagols. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ TO DO BEFORE THE SPLIT TDBS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A bracketed (H) means that that is only important if you are going to join the Human Side, and a bracketed (NH) means that it is only important if you are going to join the Non-Human Side. Otherwise, it is important regardless of which side you join. Important notes will also be bracketed. [ ] Did you remember to talk to Adele after joining Theater Vancoor (H)? [ ] Did you remember to do the "Build that Body!" mission so that you can recruit Miranda and Vitas? (This is only important if you want to be able to recruit them before the split; after the split, they'll be ineffective if you join the Non-Humans, and you can get them after the split on the Human Side regardless of whether you did this mission or not. Nevertheless, it still must be done; see the next point below) (H) [ ] Did you remember to do all possible missions to recruit Thanos, and as a subsequent result, Elwen and Nyx? (H) [ ] Did you remember to recruit Bligh? (H) [ ] Did you remember to obtain 5 Gobpakken Seeds from the Gobpakkens in the Light Elf area to recruit Christoph and Jill as a result(Pointura's Threads can be gotten after the split)? (H) [ ] Did you remember to initiate conversation with Dennis, and get the Evening Bloom flower from the Light Elf region? (H) [ ] Did you remember to recruit Brie (recruiting Bligh first)? (NH) [ ] Did you remember to do "Treasure of Goblin Cemetery" and obtain the Recruitment Suit? (NH) [ ] Did you remember to get the Feather Earring from the Path of the Spider so you can beat Fan in a race? (NH) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THE SPLIT THSL ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ REMEMBER: Look at the above checklist to make sure you've done everything you could to get everybody you possibly can? This is it; the point where you have a choice to go to the Human Side or the Non-Human Side. Both sides offer a pretty different range of things to do, so it is worth it to play through twice. Nevertheless, to avoid this as long as possible, all you have to do is make sure that you don't enter your house between 7am and 12am. You can sleep at any time that you are in the house, but DO NOT ENTER BETWEEN 7AM AND 12AM. After you do, the first cutscene will start. Go to sleep again to get the second cutscene, and then you will get the choice. If you choose Human Side, go straight to the next section. For Non-Humans, Ctrl + F "To the City of Flowers" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ CASTLE MEETING CSMT ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After you've chosen the Human Side, you will automatically go to Radiata Castle. Radiata Castle -------------- Here, head all the way right to the last possible hallway on the first floor. Take the staircases in this room, and go up all the way to the fourth floor. Once you are all the way up here, go up the middle staircase, then head down and go to the left staircase that heads up. You will then have some more cutscenes that occur, that advance the plot a lot. After you leave the castle, go and talk to the leaders of the three guilds other than Theater Vancoor. Kain of the Olacion Order will offer you Alvin and Achilles, and Ortoroz of Void will give you the services of Interlude and Sonata. Getting the two Vareth Magic Institute students (Felix and Derek) is a bit trickier. DO NOT talk to Curtis or Cecil. Instead, you must go to the President's Office, and talk to Ray C. Ross, whom is the owl that is flying around in there (or perched on something). The shops also have new equipment in right now. Don't buy any new armor, however, as you will get a really powerful piece pretty soon for free. Now go and talk to Thanos in Theater Vancoor. Head to Carl's Pube which is in Vancoor Square, and in here, talk to Jasne, whom is sitting at the bar table itself. Go home now, and head off to bed. In the morning, we'll learn that the Wind Dragon has been sighted. Before you do that, however, you can also do two missions (of which I recommend definitely doing The Real Ultimate Battle, as it nets you the Absolute Guard armor). But it is your choice to which you do first. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Achilles [ ] Recruit Alicia [ ] Recruit Alvin [ ] Recruit Derek [ ] Recruit Felix [ ] Recruit Fernando [ ] Recruit Godwin [ ] Recruit Herz [ ] Recruit Interlude [ ] Recruit Kain [ ] Recruit Ortoroz [ ] Recruit Sonata [ ] Recruit Miranda (Only if you didn't do "Build that Body!") [ ] Recruit Vitas (Only if you didn't do "Build that Body!") ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PLEASE STOP LORD STAR PSLS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Lord Star has taken the Stern heirloom from the house, and I'm worried he'll do something foolish with it. Please, stop him! Pay: 500 Dagols" -Star This mission is actually worth a lot more than what the pay is, because of a rather easy boss fight, and you get a nifty armor as well. After you accept the mission, go down two floors to Theater Vancoor's second basement floor, and go left and enter the room in here. Inside, after your talk with Sebastian, you will be taken back up the building and outside. After another cutscene, you will have a boss fight. ============ ROBOSTAR ============ 980 HP, 211 STR, 287 DEF, 57 EVA, 300 LCK 3456 EXP, 9999 Dagols, Robot Suit, Luck Berry Magic Machinegun Alpha (Fire, Medium Range, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback, 1.0 Blaze) Magic Machinegun Beta (Water, Medium Range, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback, 1.0 Freeze) Special Beam (Long Range, 1.5 Power, 1.3 Knockback, Knocks Back) Round Laser (Medium Range, 360 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.3 Knockback, Knocks Back) This battle shouldn't be any more than moderately difficult, as three of Robostar's attacks hit straight in the front, can be seen a long time before he actually uses them, and your Defense rating should be on par to deal with the Robostar. Bring in a healer for safe measure, nevertheless. Robostar's fourth attack is the thing to worry about, however. The Robostar will shoot out four green bolts of electricity a fixed distance away from him, which will then rotate around him in a full circle. While you WILL get hit by it if you are up close and trying to slay him, but back away a sufficient amount and you shall dodge it. The most important thing to note about this attack is that right after he does it, the Robostar's head will drop off, and he'll waste valuable time picking it up and putting it back on. Storm him when he does this and kick his ass. Alternatively, you could probably hit him a few times at the battle, and then end it off with a Volty Blast, considering his low HP for a boss. ============ Afterwards, go and talk to Thanos for your pay. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Sebastian [ ] Recruit Star ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THE REAL ULTIMATE BATTLE TRUB ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Sergeant Jack of the Acht Squad, you are invited to a rematch. This time you will see Melissa's true powers! Pay: 9000 Dagols" -Ursula Once you take the mission, go on to Echidna Gate. you will have another bout with the golem, Melissa. ============== MELISSA II ============== 3837 HP, 213 STR, 186 DEF, 175 EVA, 147 LCK 4880 EXP, Life Berry Bomb (Fire, Long Range, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Hits for Damage 6x) Vertical Punch (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.0 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Body Press (Medium Range, 360 Arc, 1.4 Power, 1.3 Knockback, Knocks Back) Freeze Breath (Medium Range, Hits for Damage 4x, 2.0 Freeze) You should be familiar with the first three attacks (Bomb is a shoulder cannon bomb that is slowly shot out, Vertical Punch involves Melissa punching the ground in front of her, and lastly, Body Press involves jumping up and slamming the ground in a shockwave). Freeze Breath is SOMEWHAT a new attack. All it does is replace Fog of Pollution. They are basically the same attacks animation wise - a mist will protrude out from Melissa's mouth in front of her, hitting whatever gets in it is way. So all in all, you are basically fighting the REAL Melissa, and the first fight with her was Melissa Lite. Use the same tactics as you did in the last battle, and you shouldn't have too much of a problem with winning. ============== After the battle is over, head over to the Vareth Magic Institute, and go to Star Tower Interior. Inside, head all the way down to the bottom floor of the tower, and head through the door. Here, kick the chest to the right open for the ABSOLUTE GUARD armor. Go back and talk to Thanos afterwards. Checklist --------- [ ] Recruit Ursula ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FIGHTING THE WIND DRAGON FTWD ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Before you go, make sure that your party only has three people, with one slot open. Yes, I am serious. you will see why soon. After that is done, go to Echidna Gate, and from here, head to the Nowem Region by way of the Tria Region. Nowem Region ------------ Head left along the forest floor from the start of the Nowem Region, up until you get to the next screen. In this area, head right one room, then continue down right along the path and over the log bridge. On the other side, proceed uphill into the stone area of Nowem Region. In this part, head up to the right. Now, where you normally would go right to the Cuatour Region, instead head up to the left, and follow the path all the way down and across the bridge into Wind Valley. Wind Valley ----------- At the start of Wind Valley, head left and go across the bridge. you will see three totem poles. When kicked, a totem pole will let out a gust of wind which, if you walk in front of it, will send you to the next island. *However*, some totem poles, if kicked, will instead actually fight you instead, so beware. Anywho, on this first island here, kick the left totem pole, and take it over to another island. Here, go and run across the bridge to the next island, and open the chest. you will have to fight an enemy for it, but afterwards, you will get the JINN sword (One-Handed). Now go back across the bridge, and of the two totem poles facing north, kick the left one and go over. On this next island, you have two more totem poles facing north. Again, kick the left one, and again, go to the next island. Over here, go and kick the chest open for a GROWTH STONE. Kick the right totem pole and go back and island, and back here, kick the right totem pole and go far to the right. Here (from your view), kick the totem pole to the left that is facing north, and go on to the next island. Head left across the bridge, and watch a cutscene. =========== CEPHEID =========== 4900 HP, 174 STR, 96 DEF, 186 EVA, 167 LCK Hurricane Cutter (Wind, Long Range, 1.2 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Breaks Parry, Knocks Down) Break Tornado (Wind, Long Range, 0.3 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Hits for Damage 4x, 1.0 Bind, Knocks Back) Wild Shockwave (Long Range, 0.6 Power, 1.0 Knockback, Knocks Back) During this first fight, Dynas will join you, in what will be his only battle on your side during the entire game. You must have an open slot if you wish to get him in your fight, and on your Friend List. Dynas is basically a godmoder in this battle, as with his help, the battle will pass by quickly. Other than that, due to Cepheid gliding along the edge of the battlefield, it will be somewhat difficult to hit him. Couple this with his Hurricane Cutter, which sends your men back sprawling, along with Break Tornado and Wild Shockwave, which have similar results and long range, and it is oft difficult to get a hit in on him. As such, bring in a mage to be able to hit him from long distance. A healer who doubles as a fighter should also be present as well for the next battle, while you periodically step away from the battle to order him/her to heal. Meanwhile, DO NOT use a Volty Blast during this battle. you will need it during the next battle. =========== ================ CEPHEID, GIL ================ Cepheid: 4900 HP, 174 STR, 96 DEF, 186 EVA, 167 LCK 12895 EXP, 7444 Dagols, Evasion Berry, Dragon Scale Moves: Lightning Horn (Wind, Short Range, 1.6 Power, 1.0 Knockback) High Wind Breath (Wind, Long Range, 80 Arc, 0.7 Power, 1.5 Knockback, Hits for Damage 3x) Gil: 883 HP, 205 STR, 157 DEF, 160 EVA, 143 LCK 1430 EXP, 279 Dagols, Mint Drop Moves: Sword of Ice (Water, Long Range, 90 Arc, 0.8 Power, 1.0 Knockback, 1.0 Freeze) Projection Bash (Wind, Long Range, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Because of the loss of Dynas, this battle will be somewhat difficult. Start it off by focusing on Gil, and use your Volty Blast. This takes him out of the battle (or if not, finish him off quickly), and stops him from using his annoying Projection Bash, which sends three wind blades at you. With him out of the way, you are in a point where you will be on better footing, as Cepheid is actually basically on par with your stats. With that, go and focus on Cepheid, and always try to hit him from the back. When he turns around and tries to attack you, parry him until the initial blast of his attack is over, and repeat. These attacks generally are pretty easy to recover from; Lightning Horn sees Cepheid sending four bolts of electricity from his forehead a short distance away from him, and they rotate around in a 360. Meanwhile, High Wind Breath just involves a large gust of wind slapping the space in front of Cepheid, somewhat like Break Tornado in the battle before. As always, if ever you need to, pull away temporarily to get yourself healed, and then head back into the fray once more. ================ Afterwards, a few cutscenes (of which the first one will not make sense until you play the Non-Human arc). ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ STORMING FORT HELENCIA (H) SFHC ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The first few parts of this event will be purely cutscene. Eventually, you will get into a fight. ========== GAWAIN ========== ??? HP, 265 STR, 230 DEF, 172 EVA, 122 LCK Right Blow (Long Range, 120 Arc, 0.7 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Left Blow (Long Range, 120 Arc, 0.6 Power, 1.0 Knockback) King Crush (Long Range, 90 Arc, 1.2 Power, 1.0 Knockback) Crossbow (Long Range, 0.6 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Leo Smash Royale (Long Range, 0.6 Power, 0.5 Knockback, Volty Blast) This battle CANNOT be won. You can resist for as long as you want, but at some point, Gawain will use Leo Smash Royale, which automatically ends the battle. ========== After you lose, a tandem more of cutscenes will occur. Once you get out of the castle, you have a few missions you can do. Checklist --------- [ ] Talk to Adele back in Tria Village [ ] Recruit Leona ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ LETTER OF DEFIANCE LODF ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Jack Russell, rumor has it that you defeated Achilles. I challenge you to a duel! I'll be waiting by Nowem Falls. Pay: 1000 Dagols" -Rocky Afterwards, leave Radiata City by way of Lupus Gate, and go to the journey pig statue. Take it to the Nowem Region. Nowem Region ------------ Here, head right from the journey pig statue. Proceed along the forest floor, and then when you get to the logs, head up onto it and continue right. However, the instant that another log branches out going down to the left, take it down, and then follow left into the next area. In this part, head left up the hill, and when you quit ascending, continue left until you come to a split-off. Here, take the upper-right path, and follow it around in a counterclockwise motion and uphill until you get into a scene, which will result in a fight. ========= ROCKY ========= 1102 HP, 172 STR, 169 DEF, 142 EVA, 137 LCK 1260 EXP, 1 Dagol, Herb Extract S, Life Berry Right Uppercut (Short Range, 40 Arc, 0.9 Power, 0.6 Knockback, Knocks Down) Left Hook (Short Range, 90 Arc, 1.0 Power, 0.5 Knockback) Right Corkscrew (Short Range, 40 Arc, 1.5 Power, 1.3 Knockback, Knocks Back) Dragon Bo
