I know you can get ham, but how do you get it from the boar or whatever?

This one is pretty retarded. You need to follow the boar and try to get in front of him so the game will recognize that the boar "sees" you. It will take some time.

Run into a boar then you will have a fight wiv it then you kill it then you have ham
