Help I can't get out of the Simpsons house

Hello all, I bought this game for my 5 yr old as he love Hit & Run. We have enjoyed doing it together but now we are stuck in the house. We have just done the war ship level as Bart and Homer. Got back to the Cinema and chose the second door, which led us to the Simpson house. The only door that has a light is the back door, I go out it but can't figure out what to do next. Please can anyone help us.
