How can I unlock kingpin?! I beat all the levels on gold and it still says he is to big to take on now? Also how do I unlock the comic book covers?

I don't know I have got all the gold medals as well. I am now tring to do every challenge and punishment mode to see if I can unlock him that way and if not at least I will unlock some comics.
