HELP!! Through the Shrine of Kaddan

I'm stuck in the Shrine of Kaddan at the part where you have to fight the last dimand horse rider,(He's black and purple.) by the save point. Anyways, I'm really having a hard time beating him; Every time me and my party tri to hit him we can't, almost like he's a ghost. I did all of the reconmendations mentioned in the walkthrough. He(Dimand rider) nails me in under a minute! So can anyone help me? Do you think it could be a glich or somthing? PLEASE help, I think I'm going nuts!?!

ANSWERS

There is no glitch like this in the game, you have yet to make the amulet, you need to kill the first two crystal horse looking monsters, they drop some crystal shard (sorry forgot it's name) you can find another in a treasure chest located somewhere in the shrine, once you have all three you want to find the furnaceworkshop room, examine the furnace and you will get the option to combine the three shards into an amulet. After doing this head back to that crystal beast and give it a wooping.
