Question for Spyro: A Heros Tail

Ok in Coastal Remains when you get to the beach where you have the turtle challenge, if you go to the other side you can see a dark gem on a ledge. I can almost get to it by gliding from the ledge where the locked chest was behind the seashell house. Its too low I can't quite glide over there. Also there's a light gem above where I got a dragon egg earlier. How do I get to both of these? Please help? Thanks!
