Date of Question: Aug 11 2004 | Question ID: 8802 I am at Mont-Saint-Michelle and I read that you take the flame whip (what in the heck is that) and light the torches. Well I took my sword that mentioned something about fire but nothing happens after pressing triangle or an attack or a powerup. What am I doing wrong? |
You should be Jaques and standing in the middle of a square. At one end there should be a big spiky grid moving up and down very quickly. Equip the fire whip (Enja?).
You need to whip the four brackets quickly with Triangle. This will light them but cost you no magic power.
Light the one nearest the grid last. Timing is crucial. If you get it right the grid will freeze at its uppermost point and you can walk right through it.
Once on the other side, open the chest, get the item and whip the bracket a few times. the machine will stop for good and you can proceed.
