I have no clue, maybe it's for when you flip your car, it might not total it or it might reduce the damage it does....... Or maybe it's just for looks

It makes your car more rigid so increases acceleration and handling and aerodynamics, but doesn't show it on your car stats

Stability in high speeds does not reduce damage effect though and yea you get a totaled car as soon as your car topples

It certainly helps to keep your car straight in Drags, and it slightly helps keep your speed car straight.

the role cage is there for the looks stability and ecseliration and just to spend mony if you put it in you'r drag racing car it dose redus the amont of damig done to you'r car if yourun into a wall or the cpu bit not by much i only put them on my drag rasing cars

Haha, my guess, which is probably pretty good one, as it says in the game, is it stabilizes your car, so it is less likely to roll. If you rol your car (it sucks) it is totaled... I hope I have been some help, don't distrust my advice cuz im young, I know what im saying.
