You can use it at the begining ot the game on the boat in the barbers you can cut open the wire which conceals a film real

Another place is on the air craft carrier in the hanger. Use it to cut the netting and get more heath and ammo

In pistol pete after you untie harrison and the artillery opens the fence some enemies will come in from the top right. If you go up the hill staying to the left you can use it at the top to open a path. Go up and at the other end use it again, turn left up the hill and the howitzer is there on your right

In bridge over the river kwai instead of going ahead right at the start turn around and in back kind of to the left you can use it to open a path that takes you to the river. After you kill everyone there along the rivers edge there's a vine you use to swing over the river into a cave on the other side.
