There is really only one way to go through the first stage. If this is your first time playing through this game you'll be starting with the default heroes Spider-Man, Thor, Wolverine, and Captain America. The fastest way would be to switch to Thor and trigger his flying ability by pressing the triangle button twice sucessively. The path is pretty much standard with you fighting through several Ultron warriors and following the paths in and around the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier. You'll need to open some doors along the way, open them by standing near them and pressing the square button. Knowing even the most basic battle moves makes this very simple. Eventually you'll run into the first boss Scorpion. He talks tough but stay out of the way of his tail blasts and he'll go down in no time. Follow the path a little longer and then enter a small room through a door and open another door to engage a cutscene and reach your first save point.
