You need to be a little bit more specific in your question... First of all which part of the whole scene are you talking about?
There is lot of things that have to be done in the prison alone both killing and retrieving items to advance...
If you can be more specific then maybe I can help...

On the monkey see monkey do part you will have to find the hammer and execute a violent (yellow) and a gruesome attack(red).
This can be done by sneaking behind a foe and holdingthe X buton when you James hold the weopon up.
Then you have to kill a guy with a bat then get it and do the same.
After that you have have some good ol' clean fire fights.
