To intercept a pass you switch to the defender go into the yellow circle and hold triangle.

When you try to catch the ball you press trangle and you might catch it but you have to get in front of him though so I hope I helped.

When the ball is near the person who's trying to catch the ball, press circle to switch players and triangle to try and catch the ball.
