To activate the blue mist flower ending you have to befriend Kurt( the red headed carpenter's apprentice he likes tomatoes) he'll mention it to you when you go talk to him. Once you know about it you'll get a visit from the goddess and sprites, they will go on to say that the butterfly would be a perfect way to save the town.
After that you must befriend Lyla( the flower shop owner) parsley ( the plant hunter) and Louis ( the tool shop owner) after awile parsley and lyla should visit you one morning and dicuss it.
After they leave you'll get a visist from louis. Parsley will go and look for the blue mist seeds and should return in a few days with them .
