Review for WWF Smackdown! 2: Know Your Role

Within the first week of sales, this game became the fastest selling game ever! Selling over 130,000 copies, beating Gran Turismo 2 by 15,000 copies. WWF Smackdown 2 takes wrestling to a whole new level.

It boasts a host of new features and controls. Each character's moves are accurate, including their finishing moves. From the Peoples Elbow, to the 3D, and finally the Stone Cold Stunner.

Double team moves have been improved and the roster totals 50 plus!

When you first turn on the game you know you're in for something special.

Choosing your game mode, you have a wide range: Single matches, Tag matches, Hardcore, Handicap, Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, or anywhere falls.

Then choose your match type: Survivor, TLC, Tables, Ladders, I Quit, Iron Man, Special Referee, Slobberknocker, Cage and Hell in the Cell.

After this choose your match style: Single, Normal Tag, Tornado Tag, 1 on 2, 1 on 3, 1 on Tag, Triple Threat, Fatal Four Way, Time Limit Title and Battle Royal. It just gets better by the second.

Play a full WWF Season by yourself or with up to 3 friends. Compete for title belts or just for fun. Create a PPV, a taunt, a manager, or a stable-where up to 4 WWF Superstars can form an alliance and set out on their mission.

The Create-A-Wrestler option has been improved and you can change hair colour, height, weight or even how big your superstar-to-be's nose is.

All the guys are there, e.g. The Rock, StoneCold and Triple H. All the girls are there, e.g. Lita, Chyna and The Kat. And all the ones with stange names are there, e.g. Viscera and The Big Bossman.

Now all that's left to do is give the game a rating:

Gameplay:10/10 - perfect in every single way

Graphics:9/10 - smoothly detailed characters and arenas

Lifespan:10/10 - or should I say 11/10. Enough to last you until the next millenium

Overall:10/10 - this game is heading for the Christmas number 1 spot without any serious threat.

My Opinion: This game is the best game of the year without a shadow of a doubt. Oh it's true, it's true. And that's the bottom line, cause Stone Cold said so. If you smell what The Rock is cooking. ( You get the idea! )
