Unlock Alternate Costumes

The costumes are found in the room where you use the boutique key.

Unlock Police Miniskirt:
Complete the game under the hard difficulty setting with a rank of A

Unlock Biker Costume:
Complete the game under the Hard difficulty setting with a rank of A

Unlock Disco Costume:
Complete the game under the hard difficulty setting with a rank of A

Unlock Regina's Costume from Dino Crisis:
Complete the game under the easy difficulty setting with any rank better than F

The Mercenaries - Gain boatloads of time...easily!

There are two areas in the city in The Mercenaries where there are hordes of zombies shuffling around near a red barrel. If you can shoot the red barrel when they're all close enough, you'll gain well over a minute (maybe even two) added to your time. From then on, you should have enough time to run past most of the remaining enemies and make it to the warehouse, although you can use the time to rescue the hostages at a slightly more relaxed pace.

Here are the locations:

Y-Shaped passage. This is the passage next to City Hall. At the Y-shaped point, there's a red barrel. There are 10+ zombies in this area, and you can usually kill all but one or two in the blast when you shoot the barrel.

Courtyard outside of the Raccoon Press Office. Most of the zombies (8+) are in range of the red barrel, so when you shoot it, the blast should take out the entire group, save for one or two wandering outside the entrance to the Press Office (which you should enter, if you want to save a hostage. See my other Hint for more details on the hostages).

This is extremely useful to remember when playing The Mercenaries, especially if you're playing as Nicholai.

Unlockable for use in the main game

Unlock two costumes in the Boutique: Beat the game on the Easy difficulty with any ranking.

Unlock all costumes in the Boutique: Beat the game on the Hard difficulty with an A ranking.

Unlock Assualt Rifle with infinite ammo: Purchase for $2000 in The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal minigame.

Unlock Gatling Gun with infinite ammo: Purchase for $3000 in The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal minigame.

Unlock Rocket Launcher with infinite ammo: Purchase for $5000 in The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal minigame.

Unlock infinite ammo for all weapons: Purchase for $9999 in The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal minigame.

Unlock The Mercenaries: Operaton Mad Jackal minigame

To unlock the minigame, The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal, you have to bet the game once, and then save over with the 'Next Playthrough' option. Once you have done this, enter 'Load Game' and load the 'Next Playthrough'. An option will come up about what you want to load, and one of the options will be The Mercenaries.

In this minigame, you choose between Carlos, Nicholai and Mikhail to play as, and you have to get from the tram to the warehouse in a limited period of time, or you will explode. Each character has their own set of weapons and healing items. Killing enemies adds to your timer, as does rescuing hostages.

Playing this game can earn you money to spend on special infinite ammo options for the main game. Plus, it's good fun.

Get Mercenary Mode

All you have to do is beat the game once and you'll get mercenary mode.

Jill's Diary

Collect all thirty notes and books in the game to replace the first book in your file with Jill's Diary. Jill's Diary reads as followed:

August 15th

Midnight. Chris, who has been on a leave of absence for a "vacation," called me so I visited his apartment. As soon as I walked into his room, he showed me a couple of pieces of paper. They were part of a virus research report entitled as simply as "G". Then Chris told me that, "The nightmare still continues." He went on to say that, "It's not over yet." Ever since that day, he has been fighting all by himself without rest, without even telling me...

August 24th

Chris left the town today to go to Europe. Barry told me that he would send his family to Canada and then he would follow Chris. I decided to remain in Raccoon City for a while because I know that the research facility in this city will be very important to this entire case. In a month or so, I'll be joining with them somewhere in Europe. That's when my real battle begins...

To beat nemesis easily, shoot him with the handgun to his left side, than
run pass him to the right, Than shoot him agin, repeat this process until he is
dead.Note/in some circumstances it won't work.

This code will only work if you have Gameshark and you have the code that almost any door is open.

In the area where Jill is injured and you are playing as Carlos, after you beat Nemisis and you have just left the Clock tower, skip the hospital and go strait through the park.

As you may notice you are Carlos instead of Jill. Continue forward and you will run into Carlos in the Sewage plantWhen you meet Carlos you are Carlos, but with Jills voice.

I do not know how it will affect the rest of the game so don't save it with Carlos instead of Jill unless you might want to risk messing up the game.

To see the Nemisis commit suicide infront of the stars members complete the game 10 times not using any infinite ammo weapons and no blue herbs.

( theres a bit cack) Then go on mercinaries and be Carlos and rescue at least 2 people.

Then start an ordinary game and in the police station when he jumps through the window the other stars members arrive and surround Nemisis.

When you are in the bar with brad and he's trying to kill the zombie,if you don't help him he'll kill him himself then jill and brad will kinda yell at eachother.

When u meet carlos by opening the hatch to the underground water thing, u see nemesis, choose to go down the underground water thing, do not hide.

If you go to the bar at the begining of the game and run into Brad a video will show. When the video is over you're suppose to kill the zombie attacking Brad.

Instead, let Brad kill the zombie and a video will show. Durring the video press, up, down, left, right, and press select to end the video. go back to the warehouse (where you started) and go up to the save room.

When you go inside the save room go to the item box and the weapon you had in your hand will now have infinite ammo.

How to get extra outfits:

First beat the game.,then wait until all of the credits are over.Then it will show how much time it took.DO NOT TOUCH ANY BUTTONS.

Then you will get the boutique key.Then go to the boutique (near the front entrance to the bar)Once you find the boutique go inside.

You will find two doors that say open. Walk inside them and you will find two new outfits.

5.5th is nicholai (really it depends on who you've chosen)hes where the fire is which u have to put out with the hose keep going down past the small worms avoid the zombies and go to the back of the aqua cure room place hes in the storeage place BE CAREFUL there are 2/3 frogs guarding him!

6.the last to get is carlos, or micile depending who you choose anyway, hes just guarded by male and female zombies in the pub where u see brad get attacked by a zombie.
